Stop SOPA Fist Poster - 19x13 for $0.99
Shipping is $3.98 for the first item plus .99 for each additional item.
Or you can just copy it, enlarge it, and print it out yourself. Isn't that what we're fighting for? ;)
@nuangel: You sir, will be a leader of the revolution. My hat's off to you.
@viciousspike: lol, why thank you. I despise SOPA and PIPA as much or more than the next guy... but let's be honest... selling a poster? That's a shrewd American business man hard at work!
@nuangel: So, when the t-shirt comes up on Woot in the next couple of days we can count you out?
I doubt any "shrewd American business man" is getting rich off a 99 cent poster. I'm sure he's making some money on $3.98 shipping.
@nuangel: Don't forget to enhance it like CSI before printing. Otherwise it'll look like crap.
@randymilleriii: Sir, that's all the resolution we have. Making it bigger doesn't make it clearer.
With all the talk of SOPA in the news, I wanted to read up on it. But low and behold my site of choice Wikipedia is dark for the day. lol
@jeffmiracle: LOL there is still a link on WIKIpedia explaining what SOPA/PIPA is.
@jeffmiracle: Except for their page on SOPA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sopa
@randymilleriii: haha! for some reason when i read that the scene from Super Troopers popped into my head "enhance.....enhance.... enhance..."
Act now and we'll quadruple your order!!!! (just pay separate shipping and handling).
Stop SOPA poster totally looks like
Actually, They left the SOPA article live.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Online_Piracy_Act
@nuangel: No, we are fighting against the censorship and security issues this bill will cause if passed into law.
@nuangel: Selling a poster for 99 cents? Pretty sure the seller isn't in it for the money... It may be more worth your time just to click "I Want One" when you consider the time spent downloading, editing, enlarging, and printing (plus cost of ink).
Never pass up a chance to make a quick buck! This is such crap.
Shouldn't it just read "OPA?"
If it gets turned into a shirt, someone please switch the "P" and the "A". I would buy a weeks worth if it read "Stop Soap".
Looks like they stole the fist from the Occpy posters. If SOPA were around, this wouldn't have happened.
@houstonmat: SOPA stands for "Stop Online Piracy Act".
We're trying to stop them from stopping.
So, no, still SOPA.
In other news, this is a clever way to get the word out about this issue while staying within the deals.woot guidelines.
@pleepleus:
I don't think so.
Looks like all pages in the Occupy Wall Street website itself are redirected to a Anti-SOPA page.
What's occupy wall street?
I have a terrible time getting behind any movement who's icon is a clenched fist. Why not a unicorn or a white cloud symbolizing an open internets unfettered by government interference?
@nuangel:
Most people don't have a printer that can handle 19 X 13 prints.
You could get it done at a office supply store, but is it worth the time, money and hassle to go that route?
@fivemtz:
Do you dislike the clenched fist icon enough to prefer censorship?
SOPA!!!
Stop Sodomizing Occupy Protesters Act ...???
Kinda silly tho, by the time you get the poster, we will have defeated the act. I guess you can buy it, put it up, and tell your friends you did something, as long as you actually go out and do something. At least tweet, sheesh.
@houstonmat: Actually, it's grammatically acceptable to restate parts of an acronym or other abbreviation for clarity, e.g. "ATM machine" is a-okay to say.
@mcfishsoap: I disagree. ATM machine is not ok.
You can still view Wikipedia if you add a bookmark to your browser bar.
@kb3pxr: Alright, thanks for the sobering comment turd. He made a funny joke, so chill-ax and give him some props....
Woot Mod---I expect only uplifting, delightful, and anecdotal comments on woot.
Posters are good, petitions are a little better. Seen the google doodle yet today? https://www.google.com/landing/takeaction/
@nycynik: Not true. SOPA is not defeated, just delayed so far.
So if SOPA actually passed, would the revolution fist image be illegal due to copyright/trademark infringement?
//too lazy to partially research on a blocked wiki.
Bill is toast but the root of the wart is still there.
Vote out congress members who propose, sponsor, and support legislation that is so obviously against the people lest it sneak back in as a rider or similar BS.
SOPA may be indefinitely delayed but PIPA is essentially the same thing and is still alive and well. If we the people have any brains, we'll vote out every single member of congress who supported SOPA, PIPA, NDAA, and the Enemy Expatriation Act.
Here's something worth noting... Supporters of SOPA: http://judiciary.house.gov/issues/Rogue%20Websites/List%20of%20SOPA%20Supporters.pdf
Yay let's whine and be scared about something that's never gonna happen because the internet told us it would be really really bad!!
@burkeeric Here ya go, pal. Made just for you. Now hurry up and buy 7. Thanks.
@svengoolie: Complacency is antonymous to vigilance. America didn't carve out the freedoms you take so lightly by sitting on its collective ass.
@svengoolie: Never going to happen? If not for the massive outcry against it, SOPA/PIPA would have already happened and are unfortunately still likely to happen in the near future considering a large majority of congress supports these bills.
I understand that the internet tends to sensationalize a lot of small issues but that is not what's happening in this case. These bills are a big deal and go a long way toward suppressing our first amendment rights.
If you want an example of how poorly thought out, over-reaching bills like these are abused, just do a search on "Monster" + "DMCA."
I truly think every senator/congressman turned to some guy in his office and said "Who read this thing and said I should vote on it".
Truly how congress works.

If you want to laugh your ass off listen Samuel Jackson attack Colbert in his own super pac ad!
@jeffmiracle: Censorship sucks, doesn't it?
22 people don't get the internet.
