I purchased this from 1saleaday about a month ago, it works great. The complaints I read about 1saleaday always revolve around delivery times so be prepared to wait if you order this. if you are not willing to wait a month or so for delivery then I suggest you look elsewhere for this item.

I purchased this a few weeks ago and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. If I love it the way I think I will, I will be buying another one before this deal ends tomorrow night.

I also got this a month ago and I got it fairly quickly -- within 2 weeks or so. I'll note that this is the third or fourth time this particular deal has come up in the past couple of months and they've also had the Roku 2 XD for $10 cheaper recently. The XD is the same except without ethernet (wireless only) and without USB. For what it's worth, video-wise, the Roku will only play mp4 and mkv files from USB.

Got mine and hooked it up yesterday (from the last sale) LOVE it! Works unbelievably well

I avoid buying stuff from dailysteal ever since they sent me a nonworking used logitech mouse unit and never even got back to me for replacement when I contacted them. Shipping takes forever and packing is careless. Do yourself a favor and let this company go bankrupt.

@ottugi: are dailysteals and 1saleaday the same company?

We love our Roku! However, for this price I'd get the LT at playontv with a lifetime subscription for $70.

Just got mine from the last deal I saw here - it was about a couple weeks in transit, like the other person said. Works fine.

@conanthelibrarian: 1saleaday is the same company as Ben's Outlet and is not connected to Dailysteals. Bought from 1saleaday many times, slow and sometimes very slow shipping but I'm satisfied with them as a site. Dailysteals I avoid, way too many problems will not buy from them again, slow shipping,no customer service and poor products. Can't see a reason not to buy from 1saleaday though.

@ottugi: Dailysteals is not the same company as 1saleaday maybe you should remove your comment or reword it so you won't confuse Wooters.

I got one of these from 1saleaday during the deal they had in late November, for the same price. Took awhile to get but I got it before Christmas and gave it as a gift. So far I hear it's working great. Now it's my turn to get a second one for my house. The XS is awesome and this is a great deal.

1saleaday is horrible to deal with. Out of the several items I ordered from them for Christmas, this (the roku player) was the only item that arrived as promised. Still trying to deal with their customer service to get them to take back the incorrect items they sent me.

great deal on an xs, these are the top end roku models, and the remote alone is usually 30 dollars.
xs has an SD card slot, ability to play games (a decent and rising selection especially for 5 bucks or less each)
The biggest difference from the XD is the remote and the games ability, xd you can't play and get the cheaper remote.
it's got the ethernet port for those of us who prefer to hardwire everything, which the cheaper models do not.
and it's even got the usb slot which supposedly can be used for movies and music and such, but i've honestly never used since you can stream locally using Plex. (which also allows you to play pretty much any format, without reencoding for the roku)

tl/dr give them your money, then cut the cable bill out of your life.

I buy from these guys ALL of the time. I've had a problem or two in the past...but they've always resolved it quickly and even paid for return shipping. I'm in for one. This is my 3rd Roku...but my first Roku 2. Roku announced this week that they have a deal with Flingo and are going to be adding like 14 different channels...MORE CONTENT! Some of the new channels only work with the newer Roku's...I can't beat it at this price!

Ordered one from Ben's Outlet (same company) about 3 weeks ago, got it last week. Pretty fast shipping considering who we're talking about.

Works great so far. It should be noted that Roku warranties their refurb boxes well, so there should be little worry if something does indeed happen.

@derk: That's good to know about the file limitations via USB. I'd also point out (for those new to Roku) that the Plex app can be installed and run as a media manager/server from your PC and is able to support a number of additional video file types. I don't have a list, but I've been using it for a few months now and have yet to come across an unsupported file type for streaming to the Roku wirelessly. I also believe I read somewhere that the Plex app performs file conversion to a supported format if the source isn't supported in its current state.

Just some additional info for those interested. I've only had my Roku for a short time, and it's terrific, but combined with the Plex app it's absolutely integral to our home theater configuration.

I bought a Roku Streaming player from 1saleday.com on 12/16/12 and I really hoped to get it before Christmas, but I knew that would be a miracle. I contacted their site on 12/26 and asked "when" would the Roku order status change from "processing" to "shipped" and they came back to say their policy is to ship within 7-10 BUSINESS days from the date of order. So with those details I felt a little better knowing that the Roku was shipping on time per their policy. I received the Roku promptly after it was shipped and have enjoyed it thoroughly. I purchased the Roku with Angry Birds and I LOVE it.

For what it's worth, I've bought a handful of things from 1saleaday.com since May of last year, and haven't had any problems. Yes, the shipping is slow, but Woot can be pretty slow, too. They've always provided tracking numbers, too. I haven't had reason to contact their customer service, so I can't speak to that.

I ordered the Roku 2 XD from them the other day, and figure eventually it will get here. :) I could have paid twice as much to get it sooner from another site, but that would be silly. I'm in no hurry.

I ordered a Roku XS from onesaleaday in November. It was a typical (for me) experience in that the Roku works fine (replaced my Boxee), but it took a long time to arrive.

My latest experience was similar. I ordered at PC on Dec. 9 - the same day my credit card was charged. I received the PC Jan. 3. Although refurbished, it arrived in new condition and was a great value at the price.

The bottom line with onesaleaday is if you are willing to wait for your order, you can get some of the best deals available online with them. So far, I have been pleased with the condition/usability of the items I have received too.

Got one of these recently and really like it. It's super easy to use for those folks who are intimidated by using a pc or ps3 to watch netflix or other web content. Roku is painless.

@racenzanesmom: This is an awesome tip. I'm thinking about doing it! Question though: Is there a way to see what content is actually offered on the channels? A food network channel seems awesome, but 30 second clips of the guy fieri is less so.

Is the ethernet port gigabit or no?

Almost bit for that LT Play on TV deal, but already have cable and my roommate is a f**king TV slug and would never let us get rid of paying for TV. He'd just whine about it like a big baby. I know because I've tried getting rid of it once before.
I did get one of these for my parents for Christmas, and the channel selection is pretty sweet. So it's a great deal for the price. ;)
