We bought a dynex and it freezes when we change the channel. Or, it randomly decides which channel it thinks we want to watch. The guys at Best Buy said that's common with the brand (and so do all of the reviews on the internet). Seems okay when playing DVDs on an external player. Besides, I can deal with those problems for the price we paid.

Does anyone buy 720p anymore? Even at $199?

@kbsig106: 720p on a 32" is fine if it is not being used as a computer monitor. You have to be within about 4-5 ft to actually notice the difference between a 1080 and 720 signal.

EDIT: Concerning the brand, I bought a 42" Dynex 1080p TV about 3 years ago and it still works great. No complaints.
