So a mystery box full of rejects of the rejects. Hmmmm......
Pass.
Edit: At least they are standing behind their stuff and offering to pay return shipping. That's a first. Can't say the same for T&T.
I think this would be a good deal, considering it's (supposedly) risk-free. I've never bought a mystery box, and the $20 is not something I want to spend right now, but it looks like it's not a bad deal at all.
@mscottraffjr: ah, i concur - rejects upon rejects is no fun. waste of time.
@mscottraffjr: My thoughts too. I'll never order from T and T again, their BOCs are junk.
I am going for it...they will pay return shipping if not happy so what is there to lose but time? n 4 1
rejects of rejects? afaik the first time i buy somewhere like gym, ross, marshall, nordstrom rack, etc it may be a reject of a reject. no different from any other BOC imo
and with the added paying return shipping then it's even less of a reject of a reject
I've taken advantage of their huge comic book mystery boxes before and was very pleased.. I will be taking advantage of this as well.. Guaranteed is good!
OK, I'm finally gonna give one of these Barges of Clutter a shot... money back guarantee and insatiable curiosity have broken my resolve.
You know, I think I just may buy one myself, although I sell Mystery boxes, I have never been the recipient of one, so I'm in for 2.
What is T and T or T&T? The one that had crap boxes for crap? I've never jumped at one before, but would like to see what others got both good & bad.
Against my better judgement I'm in for one. I like that they ask for personal info and offer a guaranteed return! Never done any mystery boxes before...
@jayg71: T&T does mystery boxs sometimes but the mystery PC game grab is where its at. I got three playable games out of nine. Just one of the playable games covered the cost so i was pleased. Others arent to lucky i guess...
also fails to mention that it is 6.00 for shipping! should prob be in title!!
I am concerned they will ship me ex-wife....
I jsut got a mystery box from EGA that was listed here a last week. Total crap--one cable, outdated at that. No more MB for me...too many shysters like the EGA guys. But I will say, I have had good luck with this company, the shiping is low, but the merchandise is good.
i got that ega box a couple days ago too, usb controller, i was disappointed, will prolly try n sell it on c-list
oh, and, not doing this, been to disappointed by M boxes lately. i never even got my BK industries one i ordered over a month ago, i should probably call them
I got the graveyard mall kitchen mystery box a few weeks back. I actually found it surprisingly useful.
@erikull: lol, I think your the only one that hasn't emailed us about the status of the M box. They ship out 2-3 weeks after the item ends though (like the site says) So the Military ones are practically all out (the rest should go out early next week, we had some delays with this one and had to order more items) The Knife box should all be out by tomorrow morning with a few exceptions of some people waiting till Thursday. And the BOC's start shipping in a few days and should all be out by mid next week, the rest should start shipping out next week.
Check out the other Mboxes comments, we have given updates on a lot of them.
In for one, to satisfy my curiosity! $5.99 shipping fee, and the ship date is up to 7/12/10. This offer seems so unique among mystery boxes in that they ask what your interests are to try to tailor your box to suit you, and also in the fact that they're willing to guarantee you'll like what you get. We'll see! I have high hopes that it will be better than the last mystery deal I fell for--I mean, bought.(Never again, Yugster!)
In for 1!
I'll bite, I need something to look forward to this summer. In for one.
$20 for possible rejects that I would need to return? No thanks. $5 maybe, but not $20
I have ordered from these guys before. NOt bad at all--Did their comic grab bag twice--and was satisfied.
I think these are the guys that had the crapload of pens deal too. IIRC
I ordered a graveyardmall mystery box when they were having a 'moving' clearance. It was a little pricey at $49.95, but I got a lot of great stuff (outdoor lighting kit, new jacket, digital bathroom scale) as well as quite a few useful small items (electronic handheld game, mug, pen set, etc.). It took awhile to get it, but it was well worth it.
I'm ordering one of these - ship date is listed as 6/21, but they have later ship dates available.
I've gotten the mystery boxes from Graveyard Mall a few times that were geared toward the home or women. After all of the MBs I'd ordered for myself over the years, the wife wanted some of her own. So, I tried Graveyard Mall and she was quite happy with it. We've gotten them the last few times they were offered and we ordered one of these to send out as a gift. We've never been disappointed. Never been disappointed in the non-mystery buys from this site either.
These are awesome for hoarders. Keep buying and we'll see you on TLC. Yay
in for 1 hope it meets or exceeds my expectations.
I got one of these the last time it came through - DON'T DO IT! I got a super crappy travel hair straightener and some super crappy headphones. Never will I buy a mystery box again.
The only luck I have had with this company has been bad. Be careful, you may waste a lot of time. On the other hand, it is only your life and money...
;)
I ordered 3 boxes from T and T and got one bag. They have never responded to my emails about the other 2 BOC I paid for.. I'll never buy from them again. If you do, you're taking a huge risk. Buyer Beware!
In reply to question above - The boxes I had gotten were things like 20 random items for $10 or, I think one may have even been 50 random items for $20. Mostly household items, cooking utensils, a few CD-ROMS, books, air fresheners, lighted key chains, little battery operated fans, etc. etc. No single item that was really outstanding but there were lots of them and most were useful. There was usually one little larger item. I recall a tea pot set of some kind in one box and an egg cooker thing-a-majig in another. My wife kept a lot, I got a few, all of our kids took a few items, and we gave some away to other family members. There was just so much stuff that it was fun to go through and, as I mentioned, most of it was useful.
Can I interject a bit of logic? If the items in these boxes were worthwhile, then why wouldn't the seller just unveil the mystery and let you buy these good items at the good price they're willing to let them go for? Well the answer is simple, because they aren't, and if you knew what was in them, you wouldn't buy it.
There's a vital difference between all the BOC clones and woot's official BOC. Woot sells a limited number of boxes, we all know this and fight over them, where as all the other retailers let you purchase as many as you wish. Its the difference between playing the national lottery and buying a raffle ticket at your local church sale, oddswise.
Psychologically speaking, misery loves company, and I'm sure the reason these clones keep popping up is partially due to people not wanting to admit they fell for a cheap marketing gimmick. pat pat its ok, we all get suckered in by the shiny stuff from time to time. Maybe we all need to start a BOCANON support group.
Is this no longer valid? When I clicked on it, it just took me to the main page.
@bleatzor: Psychologically speaking, what does it say about someone when they take time out of their time to get on the Internet and criticize people for purchasing something they want?

It either sez he cares about you OR he got ripped off for the umpteenth time on that crappy (mod edit: profanity)

Got a horribly cut shirt that says "Live Free," a nice light for a painting, a notepad that says, "So much to do and so few people to do it for me," a clock that says, "Why aren't men as good as chocolate?", a novelty pen, a nice silver baby-theme picture frame, an awful Betty Boop picture frame, some kinda mud mask facial stuff, a gift basket w/ rose scented soap and a loofah, men's sunglasses that have "interchangeable" lenses, a notepad for the car, wine charms, two car organizers that go over the back of the seat and a chunk of plastic w/ the American flag cut into it by lasers.
Meh. Kinda sorta worth 25? It could be good stuff, maybe, to re-portion and re-gift since I do gift baskets a lot... then again, it's already back in the box.
(This box was overshadowed by my new quilt that showed up from Overstock.)

Looks like you guys got some decent items. I was too late to order this one, but hopefully I'll catch it the next time it comes around.
I don't know if anyone is still reading this but I finally got my box. Ordered it June 16th and got it today, July 7th. Anyway I have to admit, it's one of the best mystery boxes I've gotten and I will order one the next time they offer one. I got pretty the same stuff everyone else listed.
got mine today... well worth the $20! Some funny stuff some useful stuff, some marginally useful stuff... some stuff I couldn't find a use for with a gun to my head.... exactly what you hope for from a BOC!
I got a lot of stuff similar to the above ones (vent filters, electric mill/grater/wine opener, personal massager, 20 Q game, sudoku game, emoticon notepads, pinch cups, ice cream float maker, etc...) plus a really nice paring knife, and some other junk.
Thanks graveyard mall! Would do again
I am way late reporting on my box (I got it a month ago) but I just want to add that my box was huge and full of fun stuff. I could tell that they really paid attention to my list of likes and hobbies. I am definitely IN if they do this again.
