15.4” Widescreen Notebook Privacy Screen for $29.99 + shipping
No one will be the wiser about your web surfing! Assuming they’re not suspicious of the dark privacy screen.
Bought a 3m filter awhile back on ebay. Very useful as it helps with glare, or curious people sitting in the next seat trying to read your email. Lightweight, easy to clean. Not sure what this site's filter is made of, but if its similar to 3M's, its a special material that might fracture when you try to cut it. Better to get one in the size you need. You can always take it with you, if your new screen is the same size as the old one. Mine attaches with sticky tabs to notebook edge. 3M sent me free tabs postpaid after inquiring.
@gandalfthegrey: wow this guy is an idiot if you don't see the practicality of this. It's not making your laptop ineffective either...
Sounds like a sucker for buying a 5k laptop!
To cut it, maybe just try a scissors or box cutter? Based on what I can tell from mine, it shouldn't be a biggie :-)
Hey I've got one of these and they are awesome. To the point above, you don't get to choose your monitor at work so this is a nice accessory to keep people wandering around cubeland from snooping at your screen or if you travel for work, it's nice to keep your laptop screen private when working on business stuff. It's a real practical product and I love mine.
hell yeah bought one cant wait for it to come in. I hate co-workers allways looking over at my cube trying to see what i am doing.
Nice deal!!!
Anybody remember this commercial?
does anyone have any experience with cutting one of these down to fit a laptop LCD with a smaller-sized screen? mine is 14.1.
@prettywootprincess: Haha, Yep, I'm all set. I also just bought Silent Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific from the HP store for FREE with the $10 coupon! It's downloading now. :o) Gotta love free!
PRIVACY screen??? HUH!???
I bought a top of the line Gateway 2000 laptop in 1997, cost me $5,300.00. I think the LCD technology at the time was called Tafeta or something like that. Only the person actually typing on that laptop could read the screen. Someone sitting on either side of the user only saw a grey blur.
NOW there is a product that people actually PAY for that makes their modern LCD screen work as ineffectively as a laptop computer that was manufactured and sold THIRTEEN YEARS AGO!!!??
Gotta love those marketing people. They prove every day that P. T. Barnum was right when he said "There's a sucker born every minute." sigh
@pamipa: So your good? I saw $0 in shipping.
Trying to get one... but it's charging me shipping. Anyone see a coupon code to add to rid this?
EDIT: Nevermind... I'm retarded... OH WAIT! That word is almost banned in MA!
good point i'm in for one!
I can only think of one reason to use this and I'm pretty sure everyone else is thinking the same.
