Does this come with a free copy of Oregon Trail?

vote-for1vote-against

Score. This is perfect for playing that copy of "Secret Agent" I still have lying around. Graphical adventures FTW!

Im going to but it just see what it was like to watch porn on a computer from
what the late 70s to early eighties.

Nope - no Applesoft!

If I'm not mistaken, this is the computer that nearly bankrupted Apple back in the day. Had a problem with heat that would cause the memory modules to pop loose inside. The solution tech-support would give was to pick it up and drop it to reset the modules.

Now were this an Amiga 2, I would be all up ons.

Edit: Damn; I was thinking of the Apple III and not the II. Apple II was the first complete computer system Apple sold; Apple III was the first failure in a line of failures culminating with the iPhone 4G.

Why would anyone pay this much for a giant paper weight? You can find these brand new at 3 for 10 bucks at your local flea market, but just like most apple products, they are limited in capabilities.

@luisibarra81: Yeah. Why would anyone buy this when a trip to the basement in your local schools will reveal A PLETHORA of these things. For nothing.

Will it work on my Mac?

The mere mention of Amiga makes me cry all over again (R.I.P. Amiga). They were still in use commercially by T.V. Guide Channel until around 6 or 7 years ago. They had deployed thousands of them. A computer well a head of its time.

@baddoght: Well yeah, go Amiga, but so was the Psion Series 5 and the Series 7/Netbook (yep, Psion still owns the trademark "Netbook" because they were first); the C64 had a truly amazing shrunken implementation of a classic analog synth in a digitally-controlled package; the Transputer was sheer parallel processing beauty; the Powerbook Duo was a feat of engineering sturdiness and same price/performance as the similar, but flimsier IBM laptops of the time. The PSP as a portable PS2 is just perfect...

If Amiga had been developed, it would be worth mourning over, but ... times and technology moves on. My Powerbook G4 is getting long in the tooth, and I'm not a fan of wrongendianness by any means, but I'm going to be getting an Intel Mac portable in the next few months. Gotta be done.

BREAKING NEWS: Apple has just released a "case" that will finally resolve the Apple 2's long-standing antenna problem.

vote-for1vote-against

How much does the optional 'Z' key cost?

vote-for4vote-against

This is what we used to have in my 7th grade computer class (well...close...we had the Apple IIe. That same summer, I got an Apple //c. Back then, computer porn was pretty much limited to a game called "Strip Poker," where you could see cartoons of naked women.

@dazoneranger: Glad I did not live in your world.

vote-for1vote-against

I have a IIc in the garage. (i even have some porn that will play on it.)

How many Gigs of RAM does this thing have? I hate when sellers don't post the specs. I mean, is the DVD burner Blu-ray compatible?

But seriously, my favorite is the "Many keys on the keyboard do not work or behave erratically." Just like I remember!

vote-for1vote-against

What? No floppy drive?

Buyer's remorse in 5,4,3...
