I just did my obligatory Kohl's clearance shopping...scored a pair of snow boots, 4 ceramic cereal bowls, a throw and pair of sunglasses!

Since when is a SECRET SALE advertised? Glad it is.

They could have just said "secret Woot discount code" because the sale part is very public.

it's 30% with "SHOPNSAVE" and free shipping w/ "WESHIPFREE"

and lol @ secret sale

And all codes only work if you use your Kohl's charge card, which I don't have so the regular "clearance" prices aren't really much different than the regular prices. Kohl's is always "80%" off at one point or another because they severely jack up the "regular" prices.

Do I have to dress like James Bond?

You have to use a Kohls card to take advantage of the promo codes. That sucks!

Woo Hoo!! I bought a bunch of stuff we needed for our cruise in April. The 30% off and free shipping helped a lot! Thanks joeyvankuiken!!

@taurothar: So true. I only shop at Kohl's when I can get the 30% discount (have the Kohl's card). Their regular prices on the same items are often higher than at Walmart/Target/Amazon, but with the 30% discount and some of their BOGO specials, you can find really great deals.

Though sometimes, even after the 30% discount, you can find the item cheaper elsewhere so always do some comparison shopping before checking out.

Looks like they are trying to set their clearance apparel on fire

Consider this from responsible shopper. Kohl's has failed to match industry efforts to improve labor practices in garment production, coming under fire for using suppliers with reported labor law violations. The alleged violations in question, slave labor.

I find it difficult to purchase from them as a former employee. The store manager would treat her employees like they were expendible (which we were, it was barely minimum wage, but still). We were locked in the store on ALL overnight shifts because of employee theft, this was not told in advance. E3's (which are the managers) were alowd to reprimend employees in front of customers. I just choke every time I even consider shopping there, I hate supporting a company that thinks so lowly about their employees.
