I don't see the deal, this is retail price.
What I don't understand why doesn't the HD collection bring the first one? Was it crappy and decided to start off on part 2? lol Anywho, keeping my eye open for 12 month card WOO!
@danchay: Best Buy shows regular price is $39.99 and is $10 off. Amazon and other sites are showing $36 and up.
@ionix: "Collection" is an odd term for just two games. Oh well...
Fantastic games, particularly SH2.
I'm thinking the original SH was not included because, as a blocky PS1 game, it would be hard to "remaster" to 720p.
@ionix: No, the 1st one is regarded as one of the best, but they never include PS1 games in the HD Collections. You pretty much have to redo the game to bring a PS1 game up to the same level of graphics as the retouched "HD" PS2 ports included in these collections. Plus PSN has games like Silent Hill 1 and Metal Gear Solid 1 so it doesn't make sense to include them when you can already play them on your PS3. I don't know what Xbox Live has.
While SH2 & 3 are amazing, fantastic games, apparently this port is enormously buggy, and may never be fixed.
Audio doesn't match action on screen, trophies basically stall cutscenes by droppin FPS to single digits. Fog looks terrible, and has a way longer draw distance, reducing the fear. I would avoid this, and stick with your original versions.
Konami is just messing up left and right when it comes to anything other than Kojima studios.
@dougtulane: I believe there is a patch coming out within a few weeks to fix the bugs (at least some of them).
