dealsbloomin' onion w/purchase only on 1/2/2013

Those things are something close to 500,000 calories, a ton of fat, carbs & sodium.
I guess that's why they taste so much better than celery.

Any purchase? Sounds like a good reason to hit up happy hour, get some cheap beer and free bloomin' onion!

Bet you can't eat just one....

If you read the fine print, you have the choice of either the Bloomin Onion OR the Coconut Shrimp appetizer!

@rgriffin09: SO wish that was true. Would have preferred the Coconut Shrimp. But, the team, South Carolina, that won the Outback Bowl determined that the Bloomin' Onion is the 'prize', per se.

@gmwhit: Ohhhhh my bad. Thanks for clearing that up!

@mechmyday: HOLY HEART ATTACK! 4100 mg of sodium? My Cardiologist has me limited to 2000 mg per DAY. If you did eat more than one they'd have to provide a defibrillator to get you to the Emergency room.

I just shared one with my girlfriend a few days ago.
No idea how people eat these things lol, we didn't even finish and then our dinner came out.

Eat some of this and you will be too stuffed to eat your food when it comes out in 2 hours lol.

@stipo: If you read the really fine print on the nutritional information they are supposed to be shared with 4 (or maybe 6). That is how they justify an appetizer with nearly 2000 calories.

I wonder how South Carolina ended up with the Bloomin Onion? Was it assigned? Coin flip?

On the behalf of the Michigan Wolverines, we're sorry we couldn't get you guys some Coconut Shrimp instead. We tried :(

Got mine, bought a soda for my purchase.
