My TV is an insignia and its actually pretty nice. I like it better than my buddy's Sony, but that may have more to do with his being LCD and mine being Plasma, as I find the picture of plasmas in general to be superior to LCD. That said, I have had no problems with my Insignia and they seem to offer a quality product at an affordable price. I'd definitely buy this if I needed a new Blu-Ray player.

ABSOLUTE WORST company I've ever dealt with.
customer service is non-existent until you either file a paypal complaint or do chargeback on your credit card, or start hounding them here on their deals.woot posts. I would not only tell you to avoid this company, but to RUN AWAY, SCREAMING.

As for the brand insignia, they seem to be fair-to-decent. I've bought a few of their items, and am perfectly happy with price & performance.

Yeah, the title is a lie. Read the actual product description, there's no Wi-Fi. This is a pile of crap in sheeps clothing.

Read through the user manual and tell me if you find Wireless, Wi-Fi, or any mention of a non-wired network anywhere. Even in the Network Setup you are given two options: Wired and Network Test.

I bought a printer from GearXS and then read some comments in Woot about how the item was actually refurbished, which I did find in the 4th paragraph of the item description. I commented on Woot that I was going to cancel my order and you wanna know what GearXS did??

They removed my order from their My Account page, charged my card, and shipped the product anyway! Serious Jerks!

@gearxs: Why have I only EVER seen you ask to be contacted by email? I get the privacy crap and whatnot, but not dealing with social security numbers or credit cards here, why can't you defend your company openly instead of just asking to be contacted by email?

Even if you do fix one person problem over email, no one else can see what you're trying to do to fix his problem or explain what happened. Stand behind your business and let us know whats going on, or you'll get more posts like the ones here saying how awful your company is.

Everytime I see a sale by GearXS, I come just to read the comments, to see if GearXS will finally defend themselves in public, or if they will just claim to have changed management again. What is the process by which these ads make it onto deals.woot, and how can they be prevented? I don't want such a disreputable company to be in this community space. Having recently had a very bad experience with another bait & switch company, I am glad to have a community that will not let GearXS slide.
Thank you for continuing to raise complaint about a company that is clearly not on the level.

I would like the customer to know that they are being taken care without the fear of anyone back lashing and saying that they are part of our company. We will in good faith help each and every person who comes to us with an issue.

We have an 800 number that can be used and an email that you can write to.

I was interested in buying two if these ... especially since they are wi-fi ... but this drama has kept me from completing the purchase.

I am super confused what to do. I ONLY want this product if it is wi-fi. Should I look for it from another company?

i bought one of these from geeks.com and LOVEEEE it! Netflix, pandora, hulu plus, and a blue ray... Geeks.com is a totally wonderful company that I have been buying from for the past 7 years with no problems regarding service and always pleased with the items I buy. As for the player, I highly recommend it! Mine doesnt have any buttons on the player so it doesn't look like the same model but set up is easy, remote is so easy my 4 year old uses it to go through netflix and back and forth to Pandora.
