It's not working for me. I suspect that the lack of contrast between black and dark blue makes it harder for the scanner to read than if it were black on white.

I think it's basically a duplicate of this post:

http://deals.woot.com/deals/details/c2865683-eaca-4025-afb3-cc6f8ad2fc25/help-spread-the-word-deals-woot-com-android-qr-t-shirt#0

Except it links to a different color.... And to a different storefront on cafepress, so I guess someone else gets a piece of the sale price depending on which link you go through.

[edit]
I wrote this in response to a post that has, apparently, been deleted. The now-missing question I'm answering is what an android phone would do when scanning this shirt

wow, $25 for a 1-color shirt?

vote-for8vote-against

I wish I could downvote. -1, Terrible deal.

vote-for1vote-against

I was just posting an alternative to the black and white one. I thought it was cool.

vote-for1vote-against

Eh - $25 is too much for a tee. MAYBE if you could provide your own URL. (Even then, you could probably get your own printed for less elsewhere.)

@josh3736: I did it as more of a lark than anything.

vote-for1vote-against

scanned for me, but it is not qr code... it is data matrix

@thefenst: Fair enough.

If someone is really looking to do this, it appears http://www.spreadshirt.com/ will print your shirt for $8. Generate the QR code at http://qrcode.kaywa.com/ (using any URL you'd like) and upload the resulting image to the t-shirt site.

Edit - here's the link for the $8 shirt: http://www.spreadshirt.com/create-your-own-t-shirt-C59/productType/210/productColor/1?gclid=CJTN8vm78KECFU9V5wod_BLSLQ

@thefenst -- Real original! Nice job ripping off my idea. You really ought to spend more time coming up with your own ideas, and not rip off mine, and then call your friends to woot it. Tool.

vote-for5vote-against

@thewootenator: I wasn't trying to rip off your idea, I just thought it would look cool in blue. Nor are you the first person to come up with this idea. Secondly, our website isn't http://www.deals.woot.com as your shirt suggests, it's http://deals.woot.com. Thirdly, your shirt is QR, and my is data matrix. Chill.

vote-for1vote-against

@thefenst: Excellent points, and it does look good in blue!
@prettywootprincess: Rockin video, great choice!

vote-for3vote-against

OMFG IT IS 25$ YOU COULD GET 100 GUM BALLS OR 1 RECKING SHIRT OR 2 REGULAR WOOT SHIRTS AND 20 GUM BALLS OMFG

vote-for4vote-against

You could literally walk down to your local screen printer and get your own (just one) printed for that price (including set up fees and the cost of the shirt) and not even have to wait for shipping. Where on earth is the deal to be had in this?

vote-for1vote-against

Ha! I've been waiting for a use for this scanner app on my blackberry! The code takes you right to deals.woot!

vote-for1vote-against

@thewootenator: Two words: Coke / Pepsi or maybe Ford / GM or how about myspace / facebook.... no wait I know it's woot.com and any other daily deal site.....that must be it....No? Those aren't the two words either....humph!

Der I know...it's FREE ENTERPRISE. Deal with it.

vote-for2vote-against

@chsretiredathlete: You could also setup your very own free cafe press store and buy one from yourself. :)

vote-for1vote-against

@justafreak: Isn't that kind of like self gratification?

vote-for2vote-against

@thewootenator: Yeah...Uh...I'm not touching that one.

vote-for1vote-against

This "deal" is absolutely horrible.

vote-for1vote-against

@thewootenator: also, i don't know if you used this site or not: http://qrcode.kaywa.com, but it clearly says "not for commercial use".
