You should put Baskin Robbins in the title. Thanks for the post
Thanks for the post, but someone will have to remind me in 2 months ;)
Is there such a thing as too long of a notice? Cuz i'm up for ice cream at a moments notice.
How much does a scoop of ice cream usually cost....$2?
Not saying I haven't stood in line for free ice cream before, but when you do the math, is it really worth standing in line for an hour to essentially save $1.69?
@tcanning: No, however, this is to get people into their locations where they can donate more to the National Fallen Firefighters Charity, should they so choose. It's not about free or cheap food here, it's about people in need.
last time they had one of these, we only waited about 10 minutes! Definitely worth it!
A few years ago, this was free scoop night. The free scoop was a regular sized affair, and included a cone (your choice, cake or sugar).
Several years ago, it was still free scoop night, but the scoops turned into something the size of a teaspoon. Cone? HA! Paper cup. Spoon? HA! one of those little 'sampler' spoons. 2 bites and you were done.
A couple of years ago it turned into .31 scoop night. Around that time was the last time I've been to a Baskin Robins. The regular price was now about $2.79 for a single scoop cone. For a couple of bucks more I can go to my local grocery store, pick up a pint of some SUPER premium and have 10 scoops.
I miss free regular scoop night.
@oldcqr: Ben & Jerry's still has a free scoop night (at least they did last year...)
And by the way, are you Mike from PC? If so, maybe you can figure out who I am from my userid :)
Wow, I'd like the meet the person who plans their ice cream discount visits two months in advance.
@tsfisch: PC? No, I'm not a member there -- at least not any more. My poor screen still hasn't recovered from the flashing.
