As well stack code: KSTLP8VVB99PDK which makes it $143.99
That extra bit off takes care of the tax...I was shopping for a small mirror USB setup for my work system for backups...good timing..in for one.
I can't get either code to work...stacked or alone. Any suggestions?
Both worked for me just now:

This looks like a great deal, but I'm not sold on the USB only capabilities of this drive. I think I'll keep looking until I find something with firewire. Still, awesome price!
Firewire is not going to really speed your transfer rate up very much. USB 2.0 can go at 480Mbps. Firewire 400 only goes about 400Mbps, while Firewire 800 can reach 800 Mbps. So a little boost, but not too big. But you do get into real advantages in my opinion when you look at eSata which has a transfer rate of 3Gbps.
There is a firewire 3200 in the works (3.2Gbps) as well as a USB 3.0 being released very soon(a whopping 5 Gbps). But most systems have SATA 1.0 internal connections that run at the same speed as eSata cables. So faster external devices may not make sense unless the computer hardware is updated as well.
And for my buck, USB 2.0 is often times plenty fast. Blu-Ray videos can run through a USB 2.0, so the only advantage to a faster connection is usually if you often transfer files back and forth. The extra cost of eSata means there is no correct answer for every customer. It really is a matter of preference.
The Primary advantage to fire wire 400 at this point in the game (on Macs at least) is the low CPU usage to push data as FW peered not hot---->client.
make a huge difference when my wife is watching 720p upstairs on the 1TB drive mounted on my Imac. windows might not be this way....
