Even if you're not a fan of the Halo universe, the journal that ships with the Limited Edition of Reach is one of the most incredible, painstakingly assembled pieces of video game mythology that you will ever lay eyes or hands on. It is as if it were lifted directly out of the game world and placed into the box.

Pretty OK deal considering it's about $50 everywhere else. I picked up the legendary edition once it went on sale at GameStop (after my discount I spent like $60 :D) The journal in this is really amazing and the packaging is pretty sweet too.

Also, console hating is super lame. Gotta go with all three (if you can afford it, of course). Wii has some sexy games: No More Heroes, Donkey Kong Country, Brawl, RE4 (<3),etc. Xbox 360 is good if you're a social gamer and it has some pretty sexy exclusives. PS3 has bluray and Riiiiiiiiiidge Racer!

I do have to admit... I am probably more of an Xbox fangirl now, though I have spent a good portion of my gaming life with Nintendo and Sony consoles.

I bought the big version of Reach (forget the name) with the Noble team statue a few days ago at a local Target for $35. The clearance sticker said $107 but when I scanned it it came up at $35. Better to check there first!

I am a recreational gamer and I never really got too big into the Halo series of games but I purhcased this when amazahn had it for $40. As stated before, the set is VERY well done. The packaging is a little bulky to park on your game shelf but the contents are the real treat. The journal is very well made and looks just like a sketch book from a field scientist. Even a few of the pages of the journal have been ripped out to give it more effect. What the product picture doesn't show is that stuffed inside the journal are small leaflets of information, pictures, notes, and maps. It's the epitome of nerd, but the set is in fact very well done.

The game itself is "okay". It has decent graphics that work the system pretty well. The single player gets a little repetitive but it is a challenge. Speaking of which the daily and weekly challenges are a good way to keep you playing the game over and over.

But my concern was on their webpage it says "contents: Instruction book"

After calling 5 target stores between my work and my home, I can't find one with the Legendary Edition left. Oh well. I'll guess I'll deal with the Limited edition.
