Although this should be obvious, I'll say it just because it is true: don't try to use these with any slr... it won't hold it. Get a gorilla pod- it's sturdy, and well built. Although I don't own one personally, I love using my friend's.

I got hooked up with one of these off one of their Mystery Boxes a few months back. I use it for my Nikon D3000. It works just fine for snappin pictures of the little one running around the house. Obviously this tripod isn't for "professional" use though but still great and compact for general use.
