Available in store only. That's just mean. How could you show me something I want, when Ikea is SO far away?

Glass whiteboards are great and highly recommended over regular dry erase boards. They don't leave your last brainstorming session up three months after you "erased" it or if you decide to draw some manhood and don't use a dry erase marker (sorry boss).

My advice is to be very careful not to knock it on the edge, while glass whiteboards are tempered it's weakest point is the edge. Also, you can use permanent marker for charts and schedules, but you'll need a glass cleaner like Windex or Simple Green to clean it. This way if it's mounted a bit too low no one will erase your notes with their butt.

What? You can't hang it diagonally?

This is their regular price though. My daughter bought one of these from the Round Rock TX store back in the fall. It is VERY nice though. It has spacers that hold it slightly away from the wall for a nice look. The writing surface is smooth glass and the frosted texture shows thru from the back side.

The nice thing about using dry erase markers on glass is that it doesn't stain over time like the white boards do. I do recall having to dig and dig through their bin to find a full set of their cheap dry erase markers that actually worked. I'd suggest skipping the Ikea brand markers and just buy any other regular brand of dry erase markers. And as long as you're not using your butt as an eraser like the other wooter mentioned, there is No need for special cleaners just to get the frosted glass looking nice again.

There is a cheaper alternative to this, if you are looking to have a large surface area of glass to write on instead of simply one notice board. The RATIONELL Glass shelf series yields about 150% more sq meters of glass per dollar, and last time I checked they came in packs of two.

With these you can simply buy some frameless mirror mounting brackets and use them to mount the glass to the wall. If you want it to be separate from the wall like the KLUDD notice board, I found these "stand-off's" were a good alternative.

Hope this was helpful.

You might also try the glass desktops/tabletops at Ikea. Much bigger, but they might be unwieldy to mount.

If you want something larger, was looking for a glassboard for a gift, Ikea now has the aluminum framed glass cabinet doors about 15 x 27. You can hang it horozontally, where the hinges attach. The only problem I see is securing the botom. I think industrial strength velcro should do the trick. Looks nice...high tech

I purchased the Ikea glass whiteboard for our office and I was not impressed. We needed a larger surface area to write on so I decided to begin looking at other companies. I did quite a bit of research and learned a lot about the importance of thickness, temper process, beveling and polishing of edges. After looking for about 2 months, I decided to purchase some glass whiteboards for our conference rooms from http://www.clarusglassboards.com/

The boards are absolutely gorgeous. If you're in the market for something a little larger and higher quality, I HIGHLY recommend.

You're not going to find better quality that's also affordable, unless you go with Krystal Glass Writing Boards: * http://www.krystalgwb.com. *
