Gevalia was one of my favorite coffees about 20 years ago. Couldn't wait for my next shipment to come in the mail. I bought a Tassimo Coffee Machine when Gevalia became available in the T-Disk. I soon dumped my Tassimo and went with a Keurig machine and haven't looked back. Hopefully Gevalia will be available in k-cups one day.

Moved to the United states about 5 years ago from Canada. Before I came here I had Tim Hortons coffee every day (Similar to Starbucks but I prefer the taste and the price). I am very picky with coffee, and have bought and thrown out a lot of different kinds that I didn't like. Free coffee samples save me a lot of money on my hunt for a replacement. Thanks!

Great Deal! I look forward to tasting their coffee in 4 weeks... long after I have forgotten about this promotion and I've spent plenty of money buying other brands.

Hey rmsalt - you can get the EZ-Cup for Keurig Coffee Machines By Perfect Pod - the cup and the filters for it are a lot cheaper at Bed, Bath & Beyond. I love my Keurig but I also hate all the plastic waste so I compromise and use a k-cup first thing, if I don't have my eyes open well, and then use the ez-cup. You can put whatever favorites you want into it and pop it in the machine. Works great. I did buy that Keurig steel filter cup but don't like it so much. Hard to clean. With ez you just pop the filter out and it is ready again. I like Gevalia and I like Peets.

@lichme: real coffee drinking americans don't identify with starbucks as being quality. i hope your hortons was a LOT better than theirs...

@phantom157: Why is it a scam? I just went on and filled out my info and it seems legit.

Mmm gevalia, the Columbia House of the at home coffee world. I've gotten so many free coffee makers from them over the years.

@lichme: I love Tim Hortons coffee as well.

@sterhill: I agree with your comments regarding the EZ-Cup. Much better than the MyK-Cup that came with my brewer and much cheaper than actual k-cups. Plus you can use your favorite coffee.

@phantom157: Do you have anything to back it up? I just filled it out and everything looks good. It is Walmart....what could they possibly gain? they already have my email and address and credit card from previous purchases.

Gevalia may be great coffee, but their marketing technique is horrid.

Just drop "Gevalia spam" into your favorite search engine.

Or, read the wikipedia article on them. They've been sued and still spam.

Gevalia has had its ups and downs. Free coffee has to be pretty bad (Folgers) to be turned down.

Tim Hortons has a consistently good coffee for my taste. Plus, two Dutchies will keep you going for a morning of hard work. Roll up cups are good, but I never won.

Gevalia Spams. That's enough for me to not even consider it.

OK, I put that in before I saw rhmurphy's comment. What he said. Doubled.

I've always wanted to try this brand, just never wanted to pay to try it. Thanks for the notice.

@b2pi: The fact that they spam is a good reason to TAKE FREE STUFF. Get them back by taking their coffee and giving them nothing!

Odd....I've been signed up to Gevalia before when they had a promo of choose three bags for $3 and get a free travel mug, too - no obligation to stay just cancel the service before the next scheduled shipment (which would be at full price). So they have my e-mail address AND phone number. And I've never had a problem, stopped getting emails shortly after I canceled the service and certainly never got spam.

I'm certainly not doubting they spam since there is clear evidence that they do it aggressively. I just think it's odd that of all people they don't spam a person who canceled their service to "please come back! here's a special offer!" I would think those people get thrown into the spam list. shrug No complaints here, I'll happily continue without it.

How big is a free sample? Is the size worth getting all the spam?

vote-for2vote-against

@s3jeong: It is the Walmart site you are using, not the coffee site. Seems safe enough.

I get so much spam and happily use the BLOCK SENDER feature that it is no longer a concern for me.

@rmsalt: It is doubtful that Gevalia will come out in a K-Cup. Kraft Holdings owns both Tassimo and Gevalia, so producing K-Cups would be outside of the brand. I agree with the others about getting a reusable filter for those coffees you prefer.

OUT OF SAMPLES DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!

Do they still give away the coffee makers?
