@bmason3604: That processor may be able to run 64 bits. It could be the Yonah architecture (from 2009) that was offered with these.

These machines also did, as someone else said, have the bad cap problem (in combination with the 620's).

We use nothing but Dell's at work... I'm not so impressed with this box. Note, that's not a Core Duo, it's a dual core. Overall, this: http://deals.woot.com/deals/details/96403a53-b01d-4778-b86f-96c2d730b873/dell-optiplex-745-core-2-duo-e4600-2-4ghz-2gb-160gb-dvdrw-windows-7-home-premium from a couple of weeks ago, is a much better deal, at the same price

We had a bunch of these at work. On nearly everyone of them, the capacitors on the motherboard started leaking.

@m0l0tov:

That processor is able to run a 64bit operating system. There's not many reasons why it wouldn't have 64bit Windows 7.

Not a bad deal, I wonder if this is Windows 7 32-bit or 64 bit. If you upgraded to 4 gigs and it's 32-bit, Windows 7 won't be able to fully utilize the 4 gigs or ram.

You can pick up 2 more gigs of ram for <50$ so this is actually a pretty good deal for a workhorse computer. As far as a computer for your parents or grandparents this is an amazing deal.
