This has been on woot a couple of times recently for around $80. This is still a good deal, though.

@wnyx585am: Yea...where i purchased my first pair, but when i saw the deal i figured i would post it... Not significantly more yet still free shipping. Still a decent price for some great headphones. No guarantee woot will bring em back, but lets keep our fingers crossed

I have the wired version of this headset which I bought used for 40$. They have great sound quality and the microphone is decent. This set is even better sound quality and the fact that it's wireless makes it just awesome.

@petermusante: These are actually better than the wired & wireless ones. (x11/x31)

These have 7.1 Dobly Digital Surround built into 'em, which means if you play any kind of online FPS or anything you can actually hear exactly what direction footsteps/gunshots are coming from :D

If you have the money and an Xbox/PS3, I would buy these. BEST accessory I think I've ever bought for anything. Ever.

@drchops: Keep in mind that why yes, they do have the capability to broadcast at 7.1 DD, XBOX360 max audio output is for 5.1.

Regardless, I have this headset and absolutely love it. Make sure you get a set of decent rechargeable batteies. I have 4 that way, you can swap 2 and 2 when you need to. Woot Woot!

I bought these around the first of December so that I could play Xbox while my girlfriend slept. Now I always wear them to play Call of Duty.

The issues I've had:

The battery life is pretty bad. Keep several pairs of batteries charged up at all times.

The signal from my sound bar's wireless subwoofer interferes with the head phones. I haven't figured out how to fix that yet.

I've had one of these headsets, and while the sound was amazing, and the 7.1 audio really does live up to the hype, it has interference issues that make it unusable for me.

The headset transmits on the 2.4 Ghz frequency, which it shares with wireless networking (esp the G band). If you live in an area with a ton of routers such as college communities, dense apartment housing, etc, you will inevitably hear a lot of loud pop and crackles.

I brought the set over to a friend's home (where there are few routers) and the set had no issues.

Just a head's up if you're a college student or live in an area with a crapload of wireless signals!

@usethesource: The microphones on the TB's are super sensitive. Why not mute the mic and unmute when you need to talk? Or just turn off the sound bar. They're 7.1 so the quality is pretty good when you turn them up. I turn off my surround sound when I use mine.

@thisiskevin32: Informative. But with this new information, I'm left with one nagging question.. you're the guy who downvoted my comment, aren't you?

Deal is still active, i just expired it due to there being a better deal posted above. I have tattled this as a duplicate...
