7-Eleven: FREE Slurpees - Today Only (7/11)
Many are open 24 hours. What are you waiting for? Go get one NOW!
I linked to the stoe locator, because all the official advertising for it was done through the facebox ( http://www.facebook.com/FreeSlurpeeDay711 ), and we don't like making people struggle through that messy site :)
subtle...7-11.
I see a brain freeze in my future..........
According to their site, free slurpees are from 11 am to 7 pm.
@woadwarrior: Hadn't seen that anywhere until just now. I assumed it was all day, as last year my friends and I got them at our local 7-Eleven in the middle of the night, then hit a diner :) I guess you could say levels of participation may vary.
@woadwarrior: you're absolutely right! Thanks for the info!

The people that worked at our local 7-Eleven last year were probably just a little more "chill" when it came to slurpees, duharharhar :3
Note that the free Slurpees are only 7.11 ounces...yes, that's less than a cup. I wouldn't bother making a special trip for that.
@cleverett: Many 7-Elevens also offer free food and other goodies, plus most people drink one and refill.
As noted, they don't use standard cups... and they have a limited number of cups too. Last year I tried to get one at a few stores but couldn't. Our Racetrack has 32oz ICEEs for 0.96 w/tax all summer!
Hellz yeah. It's my birthday so everyone enjoy. It's on me.
No 7-Elevens in the Houston area for over 10 years I thought they all went broke.
:( no 7/11 near me worth to drive out of my way from way/from to work :( but nice deal with special that has something do with their name
@bigfoot013: hehe...no 7-11 is nationally & internationally VERY STRONG! I guess just too many drive by's in Houston. Hell it's own residents call their Stop 'n Go's the Stop 'n Rob! Just one of the wonderful benefits of living in Houston after Katrina I guess.... Gotta love life in the North Dallas, it rules.
As a reminder, put your thumb on the roof of your mouth to cure brain freeze!
What the hell: In store only? No shipping?
Sadly, the closest 7-11 to where I live is 72 miles away...
I miss Slurpees more than anything. There's not a 7-11 inside of 75 miles anymore.
@jimdk27: That's how it usually is for me when July 11th rolls around. I'm usually enjoying a vacation in the Florida Keys, where the nearest 7-11 is in Miami, on free Slurpee day. This year, my vacation is coming a week late, so it's my first free Slurpee!
@bigfoot013: Actually, 7-Eleven has over 40,000 locations worldwide, making it number one in the world. Back in the eighties, 7-11 sold all of the stores in your part of Texas to the Stop & Go chain. They don't force themselves to remain in markets where the competitors are overwhelming local favorites, they just cede that market to them. That's one reason why they've been so successful, they don't use the profits of the chain to prop up stores with poor performance.
@alexmg2420: Hey, you should take a vacation to Australia in early November...that's when they do the free Slurpees down there. (November 7th is 7/11, because the rest of the world puts the day before the month.)
@woadwarrior: BrainFreeze® is trademarked by 7-Eleven. Just a fun fact.
None near me :(
Wow. It's just soooo great!
Oh Thank Heaven!
@cleverett: Hah, so true. It makes a kids meal cup look larger.
@smauggie: That is also true for the freebies, if you're lucky. I was once given free slices of pizza (on a non-free slurpee day) but it was pretty stale since I guess it was sitting all day. Can't complain though.
I guess it depends also on the store managers/staff, because I don't know about you guys.. but the staff at my store gives me the glare eyes when I try refilling the freebie once.
The blue ones are good with vodka.
7-11's are everywhere in central Oklahoma but they are owned by a franchise that doesn't honor free slurpee day. Enjoy entire rest of the world.
I posted this deal yesterday. Got deleted both times. What gives?
@lobstrain: Posting deals before they are active is not allowed. Only stuff that is currently available can be posted.
@cleverett: The sell-off of stores back in the eighties was part of a bankruptcy reorganization. They were forced to leave any market where they had less than 50% share. They had to leave Jacksonville, FL as well, even though their customer support call center was hosted here.
They've made quite a turnaround.
@lichme: It's not 11am yet. Technically this is posted before the start time.
My nieces and I do a Le Tour De Slurpee every year!!! Load uop the kids and have a good time for free, other thatm the gas. Or if you are a 40 year who never wants to grow up this is heaven oooooh 7/11!!!
@avengerreloaded: I know, I didn't say this one was valid either, however that is why the previous ones were removed.
@lichme: Can't you argue that it's 11 o'clock somewhere?
@malcam66: They're giving away free vodka, too?!? Roadtrip!
@lichme: For that matter, the international date line puts the Eastern Hemisphere a day ahead of the US. So Yesterday should have been a valid post. or does woot.com not show up for the rest of the world?
I know it's super cool to argue timezones, but fwiw, Woot is located in Texas (and Seattle), so Central time zones are usually a good indication of how things are judged as being "pre-deals" vs "day of". Not being around when this went up, I can pretty much go by the time stamp and speculate it was 'close enough' to midnight central it was left up. I don't know that for sure.
Seriously, people, if this stuff bugs you, then tattle. :)
@inkycatz: Well, if we can't complain about this, what would we complain about? :)
@wafflesmcgee: It's my birthday also :-)
I pass by two 7-Elevens en route from walking from work to home, so I am definitely gonna double up on this deal
@dergage: I have faith there will always be something! :D
@avengerreloaded: It's 11:00 somewhere...
@cleverett: A majority of the Florida stores are no longer corporate owned, but were sold off as franchises back then.
First rounds on me!
Our local gas station/convenience store was recently bought out by 7-11...the conversion's in process but not done. Alas, no free slurpee for me....this year.
Sounds good to me...
@wafflesmcgee: Its my birthday too!!! Happy birthday wafflesmcgee and menoseegood!
Wow! Happy birthday to @wafflesmcgee, @menoseegood and @dpettus and to my sister and my MIL! Busy day for birthdays! (And only one day before Woot's birthday!)
Happy birthday everyone! Yay!
Growing up in Florida, 7-11 are everywhere. Now living in Wisconsin, I find out that 7-11 bought 2 dozen or so stores in South Eastern Wisconsin. But they didn't do that until the end of June of this year. Heres to making a trek to see if is a 7-11 yet or not.
We do not have 7-11's here in Springfield, off to Shelbyville.
@caffeine_dude: damn shelbyvillians, always taking business away from the kwik-y-mart. shakes fist
