Please don't carry around a badge with your CWP, it'll only get you in trouble.

vote-for3vote-against

"...featuring the Liberty Bell and two American flags"

What, one American flag isn't good enough for a concealed weapons permit holder?

vote-for32vote-against

I was interested in this, but then I saw they didn't have the Concealed Weapon Permit Uniform or Flashing Concealed Weapon Permit Light Bar. I figure if you are going to get the police angry you might as well get them REALLY angry.

vote-for3vote-against

WOW... just WOW. talk about stupid.

vote-for5vote-against

don't need that in my state...anyone can carry ...stupid...

vote-for5vote-against

@quickbarn: That sounds even more stupid that this "deal" ;P

vote-for9vote-against

Won't have any need for it in California as only Dianne Feinstein is allowed to carry.

vote-for20vote-against

Being a Federal Officer, I can say... if I search you (and find this) or worse, if you pull this out and show me.... Ill make sure you have a long... very long day.

Please don't buy this unless you're asking to #1 look like an idiot to actual officers and #2 get into trouble

vote-for2vote-against

Most people know not to use these. But I'm sure some tards do.

vote-for22vote-against

@ezkibel:: Another great example of so called law enforcement being pretty open about abusing power.

vote-for1vote-against

What is the exact law that would be broken by having one of these in your possession if there is no evidence of you displaying it? Not saying it ain't dumb, just curiuos as to facts.

vote-for9vote-against

@alfredenigma: I think its more another case about law enforcement being open about enforcing the law. I don't see how someone could try to say they weren't intending to impersonate an officer with something like this.

A little kid with a toy badge is one thing, an adult with a gun is rather different.

vote-for4vote-against

@mikeknight01: Uhh how is this breaking the law exactly??.... by your logic i can say that everyone who owns a gun or a knife should be arrested because they where intending to kill some one eventually. thats insane
I always thought law enforcement was supposed to enforce the law not make up laws and hassle people as they see fit.. innocent until proven guilty still exist in this country but thanks to some people ..... its slowly going away. And some random claiming to be a cop and claiming he would hassle some one for not breaking any laws is sad.

vote-for13vote-against

wow, I conceal carry for my safety and thats why i conceal carry rather than open carry. Anyone who conceal carries to be cool... needs to be arrested for carrying a weapon with a 0 IQ.

vote-for6vote-against

This is definitely not breaking the law. I have a badge and badge holder just like this. I work for the GeekSquad. This is exactly what they give to us on the Home Theater side of things... except the badge is silver colored and has our name and title.

For anyone interested in purchasing this, if it's built like ours in the Squad, it's fairly sturdy. But as most people have pointed out, it is not a good idea to flash a badge with the intent of impersonating an officer... THAT is illegal. And keep in mind, if I walk into a house with a Geek Squad logo on my badge... people still think I'm a sheriff (who just happens to work for the Geek Squad).

vote-for29vote-against

I too am a police detective. Altogether it is not illegal to carry one of these, but rather the perception it carries along with it. I am sure most of you would agree if you saw someone with a "wallet badge" and a gun, you would just assume the person is some form of law enforcement official. I say if you do purchase one of these, just be careful.

Also I do not agree with the LEO that posted a comment that if they found someone carrying one these he/she was looking for lets just say some "special attention." All I can say to you is "I AM GLAD YOU DON'T WORK FOR MY AGENCY!" HONOR*INTEGRITY and RESPECT ARE NEVER BETRAYED!" read the other of honor!

vote-for1vote-against

@xxmerlinxx: Yeah, no sh*t. Dumb idea, that.

vote-for2vote-against

This is a BAD idea if you are in a CC state and you have a permit. Take the badge out and this may be a nice holder for your permit. Keep the badge in....bad idea.

vote-for2vote-against

Stupid, stupid, stupid...

This will be bought up by all the late-middle aged guys you see wandering the local walmarx in fanny packs and photographer's vests. Yep, you blend right in there fella... Nobody can tell you're packin heat!

vote-for3vote-against

I'd buy this, because it's funny, but I don't need it. I just spent ten fruitless minutes looking for a source for a card I've carried for years, but no go. It's a badge on the front, but the words next to the badge say:

"Stupid Police: Keeping the planet safe from idiots."

The back says:

"STOP! PULL OVER BUDDY!

It's time to change the air in your head. You are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent because anything you say can and will be stupid. You are considered a danger to society (it's already overrun with idiots), and you will not be released into the public until you show proof of at least a marginal I.Q.

HEY, IT'S OKAY TO BE DUMB, BUT YOU'RE OVERDOING IT!"

Lighten up, Francis. It's a funny CCP holder. That's all.

vote-for7vote-against

I'd better rush order this for my CWP.. oh wait a minute, I don't need a permit in VT!

Hmm, I'm bored today, maybe I'll go out and handle firearms without a permit, and go pick out and buy a gun AND take it home the same day! I love Vermont.

vote-for3vote-against

This is whacktastic! All I need now is a "public safety" sticker for my minivan and some ham radio equipment for "emergency communication."
Oh, and a light bar.
I'm in VT too.... maybe I'll go buy a gun too, except there's only like two gun stores in the whole damned state.

vote-for5vote-against

I know a couple of Mall Security Guards who would jump all over this....

vote-for2vote-against

Not a wise purchase for anyone with a CCWP. I know in my state I have had to show the actual license the state gives you with your information, print, photo, and claiber of weapon you can carry up to. This is an item to just, "show off". You'd look like a complete boob if you actually used this...LOL...

vote-for6vote-against

My state's liberal senate won't pass a concealed weapons law. Only criminals are allowed to carry concealed weapons without a permit. It's like shooting fish in a barrel.

vote-for1vote-against

"nor should it be used for any purpose other than to identify the user as a licensed concealed weapon permit holder" That's what the permit itself is for. This Junior G-Man badge appears to be for wannabes that dreamed of being Barney Fife but couldn't make the cut.

vote-for1vote-against

I looked at this and thought it'd be kinda cool, but then realized it'd be really stupid. glad I'm not the only one.
@leforest - interesting that your state has a caliber limit. In mine, depending on what you test with, your permit notes derringer, revolver and derringer, or semi, revolver and derringer. most people test with a semi so the permit covers all three.

vote-for2vote-against

This is for folks compensating for other "short" comings.

vote-for0vote-against

@trueg50 Too bad you can't carry in any other state (except alaska). I rather enjoy that 90% of states reciprocate michigan's ccw

vote-for1vote-against

@skrutinizr: On day 6 of my 11 day wait to pick up a shotgun I purchased last week. $25 per long gun background check. Welcome to the peoples republic of California.

vote-for1vote-against

@templejo1: Hate to inform you, but Alaska's CCW enjoys the same reciprocity. It's just that you don't need a permit to carry in Alaska, even concealed, if you're a resident. My Alaskan permit is valid in 37 of the states (except for a few of the ones that are run by criminals, or actively trying to infringe on Second Amendment Rights).

vote-for1vote-against

Where do I get my REVEALED weapon permit, if I'm packing heat, I want the fecaliths to know it.

vote-for4vote-against

LegallyArmed has a MUCH better alternative. It's a holder that has hi-viz reflector tape opposite the permit. Looks like a standard ID case closed, and attracts a LOT of attention when open - and no pesky badge thing to confuse LEOs.

vote-for3vote-against

I'm buying 2 of these! One for my brother and One for me. These babies will REALLY impress the ladies in the local watering holes!

vote-for3vote-against

Chuck Norris carries 2 of these: One for his right arm, One of his left arm

vote-for1vote-against

Dumber than dumb! If you wear it, the charge in my state is "impersonating an officer" and it is a crime that will be taken seriously.

I'm aware of one "Geek Squad" idiot who tried to badge his way out of a speeding ticket. It did not end well for him.

"Concealed means concealed" - no badges unless you are LEO and no wannabee gimmicks either.

vote-for1vote-against

@skrutinizr: Minus the public safety sticker and the gun, I have already done that. lol

vote-for2vote-against

Like others, I just can't imagine anyone actually using one of these. I've held my CHL for many years now, and I can guarantee that if you pulled out your permit in front of an officer (say at a traffic stop) this would certainly make for an uncomfortable encounter.

Put your license in your wallet. Why on earth do you need a separate wallet that's more than likely going to get you into precarious situations?

vote-for1vote-against

@trueg50: Same day transactions are available in most states - I know they are here in OR. Open carry is available in many, even in CA to my understanding.

vote-for1vote-against

@templejo1: and Arizona! We're free to have concealed weapons as long as you're 21.

vote-for1vote-against

@jorfrost: Lucky! Only the criminals have concealed firearms in my state.

vote-for2vote-against

@ncaroffino: You've restored my faith in law enforcement after that first moron decided to openly admit that he's a twat. Thanks for that, a million +1 for you.

vote-for1vote-against

I thought I was gonna get a guy who had a concealed weapon permit.

vote-for1vote-against

wow, I live in the Great Republic of Massachusetts. Known for it's very draconian gun laws. Yet some of you people seem to be far worse off than me! I can go buy a gun and bring it home the same day. It can be of any caliber and have large capacity magazines. The only thing that seems to be restricted are guns the AG deems evil-bad. Which you can get around by buying one that was already in-state before the law was passed (Glocks especially). (although this varies by city and town, discretion of police chief) I do spend a lot of time in VT though, and it is a different world.

On another note. If you are going to buy this badge, please, immediately look up your local chapter of REACT, SKYWARN, or Emergency Management Department. Go to their office (Code 3 of course) and present yourself. You should show up dressed in black BDU's with some sort of handgun in a leg holster. Show them your badge and volunteer to assist with their organization!
Personally, I plan to move to Vermont...

vote-for1vote-against

@rjhaleymd: Pretty sure you can go to Pennsylvania and strap that puppy right to your belt like an old west sheriff!

vote-for1vote-against

If you have a carry permit, that doesn't make you a Jr. Police Officer. Carry this thing accomplishes nothing. At best it'll only make things worse. At worst, it'll end you up in jail or worse.

vote-for1vote-against

@quickbarn: I bet the crime rate is a lot lower in your state! Where I live it's almost impossible to get a conceal carry license, so the only civilians that are armed are the criminals and our crime rate is one of the highest in the nation. Now as for the badge, only insecure wanna be cop security guard idiot would carry this thing!

vote-for1vote-against

The badge is incomplete; it should read "Mr. Police officer please beat me up for being an idiot"
