Anyone know which actual drive is in this case, and if it can be easily removed and put inside a desktop machine? At the very least, if it's a single drive or two 1 TB drives in RAID 0?

The only thing I was able to find online is that it's 5400 RPM.

My guess its just their standard f4 2tb drive. Taking the case apart should be easy you will have to break the shell to get it off. Then unscrew the drive remove the small chip that plugs into the sata port that converts it into usb.

I've done that a few times with WD portable drives when they were cheaper than bare drives.
