dealssandisk 16gb class 4 microsdhc card for $7.99…

vote-for7vote-against

Looks like a deal too good to be true...with free shipping even. Limit one per order, so in for one - I hope!

vote-for10vote-against

i buy from dailysteals often, good stuff, this is the price for an 8gb, so you get 8gb free, not sure on the refurb part though, i personally do not like my memory/hdd refurb, price too good to pass though

vote-for1vote-against

Wow. I just paid like 6 bucks for an 8gb.

Really wish I hadn't.

vote-for4vote-against

well, carp, I just bit on a different deal yesterday for $12 for the same card, except new. I am kind of wondering how you refurbish memory that someone had trouble with.

vote-for9vote-against

Show of hands: who all got the $11.99 + $1.99 shipping card 2 days ago?

vote-for1vote-against

Should have waited a few days. At least I did get a new one.

vote-for9vote-against

I believe these cards are usually returns from buyers who purchased an HCSD card for a non compatible device as there's really no way to refurb these cards as far as I'm aware. I've purchased several items from this seller, new and refurbished, so far I've been pretty satisfied with my purchases. I really wanted to find a good deal on a 32gb but this is just too good to pass up. In for 1

vote-for3vote-against

and being so cheap, a class 4, etc etc....perfect for digital picture frames or extra music storage for smart phones, tablets, etc

i wouldnt rely on a class 4 for 720hd+ video quality
but for micro and space, def a slammin price!

i already have a 16 laying here unused though, so i think ill pass on this

vote-for2vote-against

@id6klub: yup. at least it's new, though. still, this will make a nice backup/secondary.

vote-for3vote-against

Great deal, thanks, wish I wasn't limited to one.

vote-for4vote-against

Several months ago I bought a "new" sdhc from dailysteals and there were 6-8 random songs on the card when I received it. It seems to work ok and I did not pay a lot for it but wondered where it was salvaged from.

vote-for5vote-against

Now THIS is a deal. I've been avoiding the $12 to $16 ones thinking a sub $10 16GB MicroSDHC was possible. The future is here today. Tomorrow the future will be yesterday.

vote-for2vote-against

WOW! Glad i hesitated the other day, now my phone is excited to suck in all the 16G for cheap. I hope it works fine! How's the shipping with daily steals? how long does it usually take? Anyone knows? Thanks for posting this btw, really cool!

vote-for3vote-against

When people send in phones, cameras, tablets, etc in to be repaired, they sometimes forget to take out the Micro SD cards. I have a client that works at an AT&T shipping area and she told me once they have a giant box of Micro SD cards from what people forget to take out. I'm sure somehow those get sold and are considered refurbished.

vote-for3vote-against

My experience with shipping from this seller has been a crap shoot, at times I've received the item/s in less than a week and I've also had to wait for at least a month as well. For the most part expect delivery in 10 days, give or take a couple of days. For whatever is worth they seem to have gotten much better at shipping things out in a more reasonable and consistent amount of time. Again about a 10 day wait from date of purchase.

vote-for2vote-against

@j0hnlind - "Tomorrow the future will be yesterday."? Maybe I am not getting it, but I don't think that makes sense. Were you going for "Tomorrow, the future will be yesterday's news." perhaps? :-)

vote-for1vote-against

@alexavier: thanks so much, 10 days works for me. I am not in a rush, well i guess i am in rush for the price. Thanks again!

vote-for2vote-against

Nice - It's class 4. Best price I've seen is about $1/gig ($16 for a a 16g card). This is half! Refurb, but still worth a roll. I got a memory foam pillow from these guys for $10 a while back - happy with the company and purchase, so I'm hopeful this is legit.

vote-for2vote-against

I'm not even in the market for one of these, but at 50 cents per gig (half the regular standard price) you can't hardly go wrong. As long as it works. It's a major brand name and not some knock-off, so I'll give it a try.

vote-for1vote-against

I also recently purchased a 16gb for more, but in for another now.

vote-for2vote-against

wont let me add to cart once I log in Gerrrrr>

vote-for2vote-against

I was able to get one just fine, needed a new SD Card for the Nook Color and this one should work just fine. Thanks

vote-for2vote-against

x2 on the success, my transaction went through just fine about 10 seconds ago.

vote-for3vote-against

My tablet supports micro sd. This is a micro sd hc card. Do you think it will be compatible. Tablet is Vizio Vtab. TY.

vote-for1vote-against

Counterfeit flash drives can show up as 16GB but actually only hold 128MB. There's a trick to use circular writing to make it look like you can store more. These are all over China.

vote-for3vote-against

If anyone receives a counterfeit product, take it up with Daily Steals and you'll most likely get a refund. I don't see them trying to purposely cheat everyone who buys this item from their site today.

vote-for3vote-against

Raises hand I did buy one of the 16GB micro SD cards from the deal posted a couple of days ago, but couldn't pass this one up as a back up for it. If you add the cost of the two together it evens out to $10.98 per card so I figure I still got a good deal.

vote-for2vote-against

Just got one free using my $10 credit from my Serve account. Thanks!

I also just bought a 16g class 4 Kingston so now I have a back up. The other was from Ebay, hoping neither are fakes. How exactly does one tell?

vote-for4vote-against

Some things you just buy. Sandisk cards at Class four or up at a price like this is one of them. Think of all the off-brands that're going to sit in boxes now ...

vote-for6vote-against

There is a difference between "factory recertified" and "factory refurbished".

Recertified means that the product was returned to the manufacturer for some other reason than "defect" and the manufacturer deemed the card to be in working order, so they "recertify" it as working so that it can be resold.

Refurbished means that the product was returned to the manufacturer with some kind of defect. The defect is fixed, and the item is then put out to be resold.

It is impossible to "refurbish" a micro SD card. They are manufactured on a large sheet of silicon and plastic and then placed into a dye and cut out. There isn't even a way to "open" them up. The chip in them can't be replaced.

vote-for3vote-against

@skoffer: thanks, skoffer ... it'd be good for the seller to drop in and let us know what's meant by "refurbished" ... I'm holding my breath starting riiiight now.

EDIT - ah! I see ... they're calling it "recertified" ... I bought one, but based on Sandisk, the Class 4 designation, and the seller's reputation.

vote-for3vote-against

in for 1, thanks OP! This will turn my 4gb Sansa Clip Zip into 20gb on the cheap! BOO YA!

vote-for1vote-against

Just got mine today. It came in a plain white letter envelope, with zero packaging or padding. Seriously, just a microSD card thrown into an envelope.

Also, it isn't a Sandisk card.

I don't think I'll be buying from DailySteals.com again.

vote-for1vote-against

Mine too was in an envelope and NOT a SanDisk. First time I ordered a card from them, I never received it. But I did get a refund. Fool me once, shame on you.. fool me twice... shame on me.. NEVER AGAIN!

vote-for1vote-against

Same as above, although I'm not TOO crushed and neither should any of you. Send a message or two to DailySteals and your credit card issuer (or both) and you will likely end up with a full refund and a free generic 16gb micro-SD card.

vote-for1vote-against

Got mine, put in the tablet, no go. Took it back out, reformatted it, now it works fine. Never again? That leaves more for me! For the price, I'm happy.

vote-for1vote-against

Mine arrived just dropped in a paper envelope, and with no markings. Anyway it seems to work fine.

vote-for1vote-against

...and, let the record show that Daily Steals sent the following email:

"You're receiving this email because it's possible that the Micro SD card you recently received was a generic version and was not manufactured by SanDisk (as we advertised on the day of the deal).

This is unacceptable and on behalf of our entire staff, we sincerely apologize for the mix-up.

In an effort to make this right, we would like to offer you the following two options:

Option A - Full refund. In this scenario we will provide you with a prepaid shipping label to send the card back to us and once received we will fully refund your order.

Option B - Keep the Micro SD card AND receive an $8.00 discount code towards a future purchase from DailySteals. The discount code will be activated on February 15th as this is the launch date of our new customer credit system! The $8.00 credit is valid for a full 90 days."

Seems like the makings of a class act.

vote-for1vote-against

^^ I got the same offer after e-mailing them through their website (log in first) about the knock-off I received. I'm still deciding whether to Choose "A" or "B" but I would advise everyone to head over and fire off a friendly "you sent me the wrong item" e-mail.

vote-for1vote-against

I got the email without complaining, so I suspect either everyone got it or a subset of customers got it that they know did not get a Sandisk card.

I would recommend that you do what you want to do. If the card works in your device, why would you want to return it? To burn Daily Steals? That is crazy. However, if you are dissatisfied for any reason, brand name, non-functioning, etc., by all means, return it at their expense.

Mine works fine, I'll have $8 to spend on other trinkets in the next three months. In my case it is a win-win and I respect Daily Steals for it.

vote-for0vote-against

I do not need this card really, bought only for the cheap price on a name brand... and was obviously and purposely ripped off. I don't need $8 worth of their overpriced crap in the future and I'm sending this junk back.

vote-for1vote-against

So after many unnecessary delays from Daily Steals, I finally got the return shipping label from them (e-mailed so I had to use my own paper and ink to print it), returned the junk SD card, and waited waited waited for my refund. Never arrived. Filed a Paypal dispute which of course was decided in my favor and refund awarded today. I'm sure many people won't go to these lengths and will lose their money at the hands of Daily Steals, even after returning the product at their direction. I will not be buying from them again.

vote-for1vote-against

Used my $8 credit to get 2 8GB thumb drives for $5. So, for $13 total I got a 16GB MicroSD card that works fine (tho it does not have SanDisk painted on it) and two 8GB Thumb Drives that do have SanDisk painted on them. What's not to like?
