2nd Annual Free Buffalo Wild Wings® Gift Cards $5-$100 by snail mail. for $0
Around this time last year, @silo11 posted this deal. At first I was very nervous about the deal feeling it would be some sort of a scam. Luckily however, many wootizens, myself included were pleasantly surprised to receive multiple gift cards in the mail. Last year I was lucky enough to get 2 $5 gift cards, 1 $10 gift card, and a $25 gift card.
All you need to do is hand print your name, address, age, and daytime phone #, along with a SASE to the following address by 12/31/12:
BWW Blazin' Bonus Game
7889 Clairemont Mesa Blvd.
San Diego, CA 92111
Just a few reminders, this is a limit of 4 per person, 18 years of age and older.
Also each of your letters must be sent individually, thus 2, .44 cent stamps will need to be used for each promotional case.
Lastly, another way to get these mystery promo GCs is to buy GCs at B&M BWW. Every $25 worth of GCs you buy at BWW they give you a promo mystery GC.
Void, NY, FL, RI
Few other side notes of interest.
SASE: Self Addressed Stamped Envelope
Can be used for food purchases, no alcohol.
Most establishments only allow one GC per transaction, however some places will let you use multiple ones.
These do have a use by date Jan 1st-Feb 28th.
Enjoy and happy eatings.
Deal from last year for anyone that is interested...http://deals.woot.com/deals/details/12137dc4-83ac-4a72-824e-b7ec8116cbe1/free-buffalo-wild-wings-gift-card-5-100-by-snail-mail-details-inside?sort=oldest
That link didn't take me to the correct page. Try this one:
I did this last year and received 3 $5 cards and 1 $25. I doubt I will get so lucky again this year, but it's still a great deal to spend $0.88 per entry to get at least $5 back.
I only got 4 $5 gift cards last year. But still, that's $20 worth of discounts for only $4. By the way, officially you can only use one promotional gift card per visit. So you can't combine them.
Only got 4 $5 GCs last year, but that's worth a few minutes of my time and $4 in stamps. In again this year.
I found the best use of these $5.00 ones economically since you can only use one a visit, is to use them to purchase bottles of sauce. I would go in every day after work for a week and pick up a free bottle (they cost about 4.00-5.00 a bottle after taxes) you leave a few cents on the card depending on your sales tax rate , but you dont spend a ton on food just to use the cards if they wont let you use more than one per visit. So basically since it cost you about a $1 to get the $5.00 card, you come out reasonably ahead with a fridge full of tasty sauce lol
We just couldnt use $5.00 certificates 1 per visit with out spending well more than we ever intended to on food purchases.
Does anyone remember how quickly the $5 promo gift cards expired last year?
Nevermind:
It is redeemable January 1 – February 28, 2013
aren't stamps 45 cents?
Awesome...except that the offer is void in: FL, NY, RI.
@kschom: maybe, all my stamps say FOREVER on them. I bought a roll of 100 when they were $0.44 and I still have at least 50 left.
"We just couldnt use $5.00 certificates 1 per visit with out spending well more than we ever intended to on food purchases."
@akanechan13: That's part of the point of the promotion. They get you coming when you buy the initial gift cards and going when you use the reward gift cards by spending more than the amount of said gift cards.
@omnichad: A few months. But it took a long time to actually get the things in the mail. So those who bought the gift cards to get the bonus ones got them faster than us folks. So SASE folks had less time to use them. We just knew we couldnt keep eating at BWW fast enough to use a bunch of $5.00 ones. Higher $$ ones maybe lol

I live close enough to go there for lunch. $5 off a $7.99 meal is a great deal, even if I add a drink to that.
This is when I am glad that my folks live nearby, send 4 out with my wife's name and their address.
Do you fold the SASE into another envelope, or should I have two differently sized envelopes for this adventure?
@stark: I used two different sized envelopes and everything worked fine.
Sorry your question got zapped. :-C Was going to post your hilarious tags for posterity. Guess I dare not do that here. Thanks for the DEAL. And thanks for the giggles I had when I read the question/tags.
@gmwhit: They must have a vendetta against me. Bring it on mods.
Can I use it for a carry-out order?
So I noticed that it says to include your age and daytime phone, any ideas where to do this at? I don't especially want to include it on the outside of the envelope. Where did you guys include yours to get it back still?
@thepenrod: I'm aware of this which is why we refused to do that and bought sauce. Maybe some people eat there enough for 8 $5.00 coupons that expire in 2 months to be worth it. Otherwise, buy sauce.
@nrdcoupon: On a post it note attached to the SASE
Well, hopefully sending it without will be okay, already had mine sent by the time I read back through
Do they call your phone for verification?
Is the limit on the person or the household? For instance could everyone at my house send 4 envelopes with the same address on them?
My first one arrived today, but I haven't been able to check the balance. I tried on their gift card thing on their website and it just goes to a blank page.
Do I have to send four (x2 = 8 envelopes) to reach the limit or four gift cards or do I just have to send one envelope (x2 = 2 envelopes) to get all four?
@dwh00a: 4 with your name on it, put into 4 different ones addressed to BWW, for a total of 8 envelopes with 8 stamps.
Thank you jezebelseven.
@jezebelseven: If I remember correctly, you have to wait until the activation period begins (January 1) before any balance will show up on the card.
@90mcg112: I thought that might be the case! I should've remembered that-- when we did a similar promotion at a place I used to work at, I would get 5,000 calls a day asking why their promo gift card said it had 0 balance, and I would tell them over and over that it doesn't get loaded with a value until the start of the promotion.
All of ours have shown up minus 2 my mom sent for. I'm excited to stock up on some sauce (and maybe get a chance to take my mom out for dinner, haha).
For those of you who received your gift cards, you can check the balances online at: http://www.buffalowildwings.com/gift-card/
Mine were all $5 cards. Hope someone gets a $100!
@90mcg112: all $5s here too!
Three $5 and One $15!!! Woo Hoo!
4 gift cards, all $5. But considering it's just for the cost of 8 stamps, that's not a bad deal at all.
@akanechan13: Thanks for the sauce idea. I have 4 bottles of sauce and 1 package of Chipotle BBQ seasoning. Going today to get some Lemon-pepper seasoning. BTW the Honey BBQ sauce is wonderful brushed on grilled salmon.
@studerc: Thanks for posting I got a total of eight cards, six are for $5 and two are for $15. Enough for 6 sauces/spices and 2 meals.
