This is a very nice pocket shooter. I have the non-Lithium-Ion Battery version (uses alkalines or rechargeable NiMHs). The only issue is that when viewing video on the camera, there is no audio playback. The audio is there, it's just that the camera won't play it. Your PC will have no trouble with it. Use the VLC Media Player to play them on your PC, if the native player doesn't handle the format.

Is it pink, or red? Because I totally want it if it's pink, but not so much if it's red.

In general, Kodak camera's quality is mid-pack, offset by ease of use and its price. Cheapest elsewhere I'm seeing is $100, so this is a great price, especially since it's new.

A brief froogle™ search finds this at other retailers for about $100. In for one. New baby coming soon and Grandma's birthday is coming up. Good thing it has the Li-ion battery, she may never stop taking pictures.

epinions.com and cnet.com have no reviews on this. Anyone else find any? It does appear to be a good price.

I can't even find it on kodak.com They have an M522, 532 and a 552, but no two-digit product numbers at all.

The EasyShare series of Kodak takes surprisingly good photos. I mean, nothing could replace my Cannon Eos Rebel xsi, but this is something I can put in my pocket.

Might have to buckle and buy 1, at this price it's a steal..

Here's the link to the Amazon page for the product:

http://www.amazon.com/Kodak-KODAK-M52-EFSP-RED/dp/B004WQ1E44

No reviews yet though, and doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of information floating around the net. Cheapest new on Amazon is $94 with shipping or $85 used.

in for one, sounds great :D

EXIF is not a format.

I'm not sure I can do without optical image stabilization. It does spoil one when one has it.

Nobody has mentioned it yet, but FYI Kodak is nearing bankruptcy. That 1 year warranty is probably worthless. That said, I've owned a couple of Kodak digital cameras before and I have been happy with the build quality and photo quality.

Hey smart guy... Kodak has been around forever, just because they may declare bankruptcy doesn't mean they will no longer will exist.

Bought one to replace my very old 3MP Samsung. I figured it was time for an upgrade. Nice timing, woot!

@philbh: what are you smoking? people have already said that they can't find the camera on kodak.com at all... Similar MP cameras are all at least $10 more on kodak's page.

Here is my sticking point. I'm wondering what the real Macro capability of this one is, as my Casio is not long for this world, and a good Macro setting is important to me, to take good closeups for eBay and ETSY.

Thoughts?

seems like a goof buy....specially if you dont have a camera & youre going on a vacation to cali....might just go ahead and buy this....anyone have a PRO & CON list about this?

@ericleer: If you're planning on taking sale photos for eBay etc. this camera should be fine. If you're planning on taking macro photos of flowers and insects and expect to discern things you can't with your naked eye, you're probably going to be disappointed :)

vote-for1vote-against

so would you say this is a good point & shoot camera for a vacation ?

What da heck. I'm in for one. My daughter is gonna lose it anyway. Better to lose 75 bucks than something similar to 2 canons she's lost so far.

It occurred to me that the 7 megapixel point-and-shoot I have which doesn't support SDHC is really not a good camera anymore. After a few low-light shots I took recently I was unpleasantly surprised. In for one, thanks Woot!
