Couple of comments: I bought one of these about a year ago. They are pretty accurate and work great for what I mainly use it for (homebrewing). My only complaints about them: When you first turn it on, the reading is in celcius. You have to hold down the top button (as opposed to the trigger) for about 10 seconds to get it to switch to farenheit. THEN, the unit shuts off if you don't pull the trigger every 10 seconds. I am sure this is to save the battery life, but it gets to be a pain when you have to keep pulling the trigger all the time to keep it from turning off (and then go through the change from C to F). For this price, I'd buy it. Just wanted to list some of the 'cons' of it...

@rondo1229: Not the same product. I actually own the model you linked to and it's not the same thing.

@zuiquan: So what is the difference? because i just ordered one...

@rondo1229: Well, as @drhardcrab listed some of the cons of this model, the one I own doesn't have any of those faults. It stays in F or C, whichever one I select. It also stays active for longer than 10 seconds but that's not really an issue since I don't need to switch the readout.

Got mine for $15 last year, but this is still a good deal. Works great!

These are an awesome, painfree way to tell if feral cats are running a fever. :2 thumbs:

@zuiquan: Umm, Ok? I asked the difference between this product and the link i provided, not pros and cons. Because to me they look pretty much the same besides battery type...

@rondo1229: I think maybe you should get a bigger monitor with better resolution. They're clearly not the same. I also think that those differences I listed are actual differences. Like, the one I have doesn't have the drawbacks previously mentioned. I'm not sure what else you're looking for.

Have one of these for my tortoise house. Easy way to tell what the temps are running for him.

Anyone use these for ghost hunting?

Don't judge me!

This is a decent product but an awful price. You shouldn't pay more than $10 including s/h.
