Donations are being accepted by Samaritan's Purse for those hit by the disaster. Our youth voluteered there for three days this week and returned humble and hurting for those who are living in tent cities because they have lost everything. The parents still didn't want to talk about it, but the kids were quick to say, "We lost everything! Now we are living in a tent!" The rubble is still all over with parts of houses and furniture shoveled to the sides of the streets to allow cars to pass through. Samaritan's Purse is providing warehouses full of supplies daily for those with no home, no where to work, no car...but hope that things will improve. Give if you feel led to do so. These communities on the outskirts of Joplin look like the poorest areas in third world countries.
