I'm not too familiar with hard drives, not sure if Seagate is reliable hard drive manufacturer. Nor have I kept up on hard drive prices in today's market, so please forgive me if this deal isn't actually any good.

I'm not sure what makes this drive special, but I know I bought a couple of drives with twice the capacity and at half the price over a year ago...

@lothariorowe: I don't think it's special, but for today's prices (my friend told me HDD prices have shot up since the flooding in Southeast Asia), it might be considered a good deal maybe?

@lothariorowe: Industry consolidation (Hitachi and Samsung have been bought out) and flooding in Thailand put a severe damper on supply, hence prices have gone up a lot.

I have a ST31000528AS as the stock drive in my HP desktop. It's a great drive, and the one listed here is twice as fast. Sounds like a good deal to me.
