I've played the 1 hour demo of this on PS plus and the game looks to be incredible. Best graphics I've ever seen in a game and excellent gameplay. I'm in for one.

Still waiting on GOTY Skyrim to start playing that one.. going to be a while before I can get to this one.. years before it goes to $20.

Absolutely mind blowing game in terms of story telling. Easily rivals/surpasses the original.

Just bought this at full price yesterday! GRRRR!
But yes, awesome and beautiful game but at it's core is still the original Bioshock. Down to "...carnival of savings..." from a vending machine. Not that it's a bad thing...

@necrom23: Copies for $25-$35 on ebay for the PC

I am still waiting to hopefully see this get down to the $39.99 mark. I am a huge BioShock fan, but unfortunately my wallet is still feeling pretty hit. Anyone else surprised Amazon hasn't made this one of their "daily-deals"? I can recall Tomb Raider (haven't played it yet) dropping after I think two or three weeks of its release. The more I type this, the more I'm thinking about biting and not worry about the $10 I could be saving. Yup...I'll see you in Columbia.

few games are worth full price. this is one of those few. play it, love it.

@mdgore: This. Game is amazing, front to back.

I tend to think when a big budget game is this successful you'll be able to find it for $14.99 - $19.99 or free on PS+ within 18 months. And that's not even factoring in dlc -> "GOTY" edition.

I'm asking genuinely: Is there any reason to rush and get this game now?

vote-for3vote-against

Bought it at full price a couple weeks ago cause that's when I'd have time to play it. I regret nothing, this game is incredible. First game I've ever played where the AI character wasn't a nuisance. She's actually designed to be quite the opposite. If you've gotta wait then you've gotta wait but don't let anyone spoil the storyline in the meantime, it's easily the best part of the game and the gameplay is no slouch.

Excellent presentation and good storytelling, but there are fewer memorable moments than in the original Bioshock. Also, the combat isn't as tight. There are only couple vigors worth using and the rest are either ineffective or aren't worth their weight in "salt".

Redbox it if you can.

Yeah, how's this a deal? Pfft.

I'll just post this here since somebody is apparently burying all of my posts:

$29.95 for the PC version if wanting just the game.

so how does this compare to the original two games? i love how dark and creepy the original games are. with this one taking place in the sky it doesn't seem like it could possibly keep up the terrifying atmosphere of the first two.

@ndcouch: This one doesn't really relate to the first two. It's recommended that you do play the first one to catch some references. Other than that, the tone of the game is completely different. The first two did have a super dark tone, and it did affect your mood. The fact that it is a complete opposite tone and atmosphere, does play a part in the game. I really don't want to ruin/spoil anything for you. Long story short, just play the game and love it
