Nice selection... I normally order from Penzeys but might have to try this. My spices are getting up there in age.

I adore My Spice Sage. Great spices, great prices, quick shipping and they always have a great freebie or two. Good stuff :)

Wonderful place to order from. The spices are great and the people are really nice. They forgot to send the vanilla beans last time I ordered but they quickly emailed me back and sent them to me right away. I will always buy my spices from them!

I've been hooked on this place since last winter when they had this same offer that showed up on deals.woot. It's become my favorite place to browse. I make homemade no-knead bread and this is where I get almost all the flavorings and seasonings I use in the cheddar chili, blue cheese & pepper, and garlic herb loaves. Even got some of the blends (Arabic blend bread, OMG!) get tested out for breads.
Plus they have an AWEsome selection of various types of chili peppers. For a hot-head like me it's chili nirvana.
I'll have to check out Penzeys, always on the lookout for fun new spices and sources!
Merry HoHoHo!

This is a great deal, I did it one of the previous times they offered it. The vanilla beans and other spices I bought were top quality.

If you don't know what to do with eight vanilla beans, one old trick is to put them in a quart jar and fill it with sugar. The next time you bake something that has vanilla in the recipe just use that vanilla infused sugar instead. Replace what you used with more plain sugar and shake the jar up.

You'll be able go ten years or more without having to buy vanilla, and I'm not kidding!

I use the vanilla beans to make ice cream. So I wait till they have this special and then order something. My son got an ice cream maker last Christmas and I use it at least twice a week. Here are my ice cream recipies:

Vanilla beans are $8 for just 1 bean at the grocery store. I use the whole beans to make homemade Kahlua- super easy-got the recipe from my sister in TN- here it is: 1 1/2 c. water, 3 1/2 c. sugar ( the one with the splenda, in my opinion was best, maybe cuz I haven't had sugar in 6 mos, but reg sugar was too sweet for me and more work to disolve) put in pan til disolved and add 1 c. instant coffee (I used Folgers instant); pour over 4 c. vodka and 2 whole vanilla beans (any kind of vodka would work (including the cheap stuff), I used Three Olives Espresso flavored, also, you probably could use vanilla extract and it would be cheaper, but the whole beans made it really yummy). Put into a gallon container or anything, I poured half into the vodka bottle and the other half into a jug. It is supposedly best after letting set for like a week, but who wants to wait that long? I poured it over ice with 1% milk, I tried it with skim milk too and they were both good. Enjoy!
