I have the 1.5TB version and love it. However, do not leave it hooked up 24x7 because it WILL slow down your system.
Your right-click context menu will take > 5 seconds to open due to the Seagate Replica software accessing the hard drive for previous versions.
VERY handy for software development!!

Subtotal: $89.99
Coupons: -$20.00
Tax: $4.55
Delivery: $0.00
Total: $74.54

Really can't wait much longer, Thailand.
1TB for $75 is about right, the coupon is only applicable to 1TB model, one coupon per HDD order.

good price, + I think you can add a $25 off $75 coupon to get it for under $50.
should be able to resell on ebay for over $100

@sporadic: That's why you disable it.

what or where do you get that coupon ??

Good deal if you consider the shortage. Hopefully another year will bring us down to ~$40/TB again. Picked up one of these to hold me over.

Ya, I just got a 2tb 3.0 USB there for 85 bucks...

@silkworm: how did you get it so cheap?

Can the drive be removed from the enclosure to be used as an internal drive?

vote-for1vote-against

@sporadic: get a real revision control system.

Got a 2TB couple black Fridays ago for the same price...flooding sucks. Unless you are in dire need of a hard drive, guys, just wait til supply even out again.

@peterwu: I haven't even seen internal HDD for under $100 recently, I might just buy this one and remove the case for the HDD. I think they are 7200rpm.

Code is expired, but price is still not TOOOO bad.
