The first time I saw Wired was when they sent out samples of the first issue, and the two people I knew who got copies were women. I guess Wired didn't know their target audience from the beginning.

That was almost twenty years ago. Time flies.

@syninthecity: yep, I still get them. Much more rugged and durable than soft-copy versions. Won't damage the screen when dropped, sat-upon, or rolled up and stuffed into a pocket either.

It didn't work at first when I logged in with my Tanga account. I had to log out and then buy the mags under a guest account (using "SAVE" coupon) for it to work. Wired does include the free digital access with purchase.

@jonny13: Same here. The sad thing is, I had $1.00 of Tanga cash from the last time I ordered Wired from a deal. Oh well, this time I ordered 3 years instead of 1 year so I wont have to deal with this for a long time.

Despite being mildly annoyed at the "men's magazine" thing, I'm in for a Wired for both myself and my husband, and threw in a year of Popular Science for a year for $5 too.

"SAVE" code worked fine on my tanga account.

I ordered Popular Science and Wired for my husband last time - it takes a few months, but we have gotten our subscriptions without a problem.

(Just in case anyone was wondering.)
