I would follow that man into battle.

That's a funny video. Up vote from me. Still I'm a DE safety razor guy myself, no need for these blades.

Pretty epic commercial. I'm in for one once the site calms down.

You would think companies would know by now to have capacity to run their site if they are going to do a big promotion. That said, I hope they do well, that is a catchy ad for sure.

liked the youtube vid, it was funny :)

vote-for3vote-against

Awesome idea but website isn't loading....

vote-for2vote-against

@royvij: according to a recent youtube comment, reddit got a hold of the site & vid

vote-for2vote-against

@japmonster80: just wait. like others have said page is getting flooded. Just watch the youtube video for now if you want more details. that or keep f5ing till it pops up

I bought these a while back when they had a Groupon going. They're actually pretty decent. My only complaint is that if you don't shave every day they tend to clog up fast. Otherwise they're well worth the $12.

Anyone know how much the S&H is?

vote-for1vote-against

They have a referral program as well. Save $1.50: http://curebit.com/x/B6Nqt

It gives me $1.50, you save $1.50, then you post your referral, step 3 Profit!

vote-for1vote-against

S&H is 2 dollars for the 1$ a month option

vote-for1vote-against

In for the $1/month razors. I'll upgrade if they suck, but if the twin is good, I will have cut about $75 out of my yearly shaving spend.

@kevin8er: S&H was $2. I don't know why they don't just build it in to the price but anyway...

vote-for2vote-against

I got in on it. We'll see how the $1+$2 blades hold up.

vote-for1vote-against

@bipefreak: used it. getting my rebate next month.

vote-for1vote-against

I'm in for 1, site is working fine. Maybe the rush is over.

vote-for3vote-against

From the $9 a month blade description:

"This blade comes from the future and lives in outer space"

LOL

Awesome site and commercial. They won my dollar.

Man how much do you guys spend on razors in a year?

I only spend about $20/yr on razors, and that's for the Mach3 or Quattro. Granted, I only shave about once a week (and even at that, I usually have some style of facial hair covering 50-70% of shavable area). But still....

To get something similar from this, I would need to get the $6/mo plan (+ $2 s&h), so that's $96/yr! That is insane! Even if I went with that crappy looking "twin" razor, it'd still cost me more than I spend right now.

Do you guys not reuse or resharpen your perfectly good "disposable" razors???

vote-for2vote-against

@punkcrib: I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you spend less on razors because you don't shave as much or as often as someone who shaves everyday.

This is my hypotheses, now I will move onto my experiments and report back my observations.

vote-for0vote-against

@punkcrib: i go through a disposable every week...but i do buy mine in bulk from costco when they are on sale.

vote-for1vote-against

@mortar235: oh nice catch.. so does the $9 so didn't notice that last night.

vote-for1vote-against

@mortar235: Ah, that makes it somewhat better. But still, over $70/yr is a bit steep for me.

@taythegibs: You know you can sharpen those disposables, yes? I get about 3 extra lives out of them. Hell, I've been on the same blades since late November I believe. And if you're really cheap (like me) and don't want to spend the $7-$10 for a disposable razor sharpener, you can use the strike pad from a large box of matches. Works like a charm....it even seems to get them sharper than brand new. Though technically it's not sharpening them, but honing them.

@punkcrib: eh if you really want to save money use electric

1 electric razor paid $30 used for a year and a half now. Need new blades? Nope not yet.

Though as to the discussion on how much we spend on blades. I know when I used normal razor full time instead of using it to clean up. I would go through a package of blades in maybe two months? But then I have to shave every other day or I have full on beard action. It grows crazy fast.

As for sharping/honing never tried it and not sure if it really works that well. I think it was the Memphis station or some news stations near here anyway did a test of it. They said it helped extend the blade another few shaves but nothing spectacular.

vote-for1vote-against

@plex49: You ever get them how well did they work out? I'm curious though I'm still using electric myself.
