I've used this model on an overnight hike before. Works great and screws right onto your Nalgene bottle. We drank water out of Lake Ouachita in Arkansas, and it tasted great (and more importantly, no one got sick). Just remember, this filters out dirt, pollutants, heavy metals, etc. But you still need to kill the bacteria and viruses. Grab a tiny bottle of Sweetwater drops. Add a couple drops in your nalgene, shake it, let it sit for 5 minutes, and you have yourself safe-to-drink water. Great to put in your emergency kit too.
