I can't seem to redeem this coupon online. The barcode number is too long?

vote-for1vote-against

The free shipping is for receiving the coupon, but we still pay shipping on the item we get 20% off of, right?

@bobd53: maybe someone used it already, it says on the coupon 1 per day. Try tom or call them as the coupon states

@gjbloom: Yea tried to change the listing. The coupon is free not the items sent. Best to go to the store anyway. Plus 20% coupons are in the newspapers all the time and/or sub. to the email list.
And your can find them in the store if your nice or look in the garbage cans by the cashiers.

@bobd53: PLus if it already has a coupon or the item you selected it won't work (according to the disclamimer. I'd call them.

Here are some more coupons, including a MIG (ready)/Flux Core Welder that I'm getting for Xmas ;-) Usually $200, coupon is $169.99. Yes, the URL says "oct" but the coupons are good through 31 December.

The 20% coupon is such a tease - can't be used on generators, welders, brand names, or anything you're using another coupon on. I dislike fine print!

Are these tools any good, particularly the air compressors? If so, please comment on a good one. Thanks

@chknchkr: the compressors are decent, but they cut corners to keep the price down. Single adjustment for tank pressure and output pressure, no wheels on smaller units, very few accessories included. Good value if all you need is a unit for occasional use, not really up to daily commercial use.

I was looking for some Chinese made gag gifts that would rapidly fail on me. Looks like I found a source!

@chknchkr: What would Craftsman Evolv/Companion detractors say about HF? :) HF are about as disposable as you can get, but hey, much shouldn't be expected for the prices. I can't say about the power stuff, but the hand tools are decent for light, occasional repairs around the house.

Hand tools carry a lifetime warranty, so disposable-quality or not, there you go.

@eidelbus: "HF are about as disposable as you can get"

Wrong.
Look up "Homier".

@superninja: Haha, I'd never heard of those, but after reading some reviews, your point is well made. :)

HF stuff is good enough for the average homeowner of backyard mechanic. No, the compressors are not going to stand up to heavy use, nor will they have the features that somebody who uses one daily (or even frequently) will want. But for the joe who is going to use it a few times a year, it's fine. Likewise with many of their other stuff.

I bought a bed extender for my truck (so I could carry a long kayak) as well as a torque wrench and a cargo carrier. All work fine, and saved quite a bit.
