The big announcement and reveal of what I have been toiling away at for months on end while missing all sorts of deals.woot conversations and coup attempts. My hope is that that will happen mid next week. (Please check back to our site and I will announce as well.)
But, we can still have fun. So, a prize to whoever either a) comes closest to guessing what the big reveal will be when the big reveal happens or b) amuses me the most with his or her guess.
Entry is via this thread. No more than two entries per person (though you can post as much as you wish your first two comments are counted as entries.) You can enter up to the time I say you can't enter anymore (when we reveal) and the selection process is every bit as subjective as it sounds above.

Nothing against Apple refurb items. They still carry the factory warranty of a new item. Also if they replace it & don't have what you have in stock you get the NEXT best thing NEW for FREE!
I'm convinced that the big reveal will be the ending of the D&D story line. As a matter of fact, I have it on good authority that you have already finished it with the perfect troll bane defense. Well actually, it more of an negation of a bane. So not really a positive but mostly a tool to dismiss the negative. Kind of like deodorant, yeah. The big reveal will be the long awaited and much anticipate D&D conclusion -- deodorant style.
Who would have thought such madness was possible?

This is a terrible deal. $100 more gets you a new next generation model with more features and the same capacity. Maybe if this was $125 or $150...
This is wayy to expensive !! 230 for new one its 8gb but works much better !!! or anyone want buy mine i still have five of 3rd gen 64gb brand new never used for 250$

The iPod Touch 32GB 3rd Gen REFURB is only $30 more at Apple's own store. Refurb iPod/iPhone sold direct from Apple have their (internal) battery and outer case replaced with new ones, new headphones, and comes with 1 year warranty (same as a new iPod). I doubt you get any of these benefits from a third party refurbished product (such as this one or ones sold by woot).
Also BestBuy.com currently has the same item, NEW, for $230 in their outlet store, plus a free (albeit with so-so reviews) Insignia GPS with purchase of any iPod Touch.
I purchased my refurbed 32GB iPod from Apple. This "refurb" was shipped directly from the factory. :)
A warning about dyscern - I have bought things from them on two occasions. On both occasions they were missing everything that should have come with the product.
I was able to get the associated parts with an email, but it took a few days to get a response.
They made it right, but I would prefer to shop somewhere that gets it right the first time.
For this small of a deal on a used/non-factory refurb, I personally am going to pass.

@kevskoolkars: Sorry to go all schoolmarm on you here but no, light use doesn't equal refurbished. Light use equals light used, refurbished equals refurbished. An item that is refurbished didn't work at one time and was repaired and brought up to original spec. An item that is light use has been handled and is no longer in its pristine in box state but has had no repair.
And shortly sprint will be selling a 'peel' that you put your ipod touch in for 3G coverage and wifi hotspot!
@mcgs999: I am sorry you had that experience and am glad that we were able to make it right. When dealing with non new items it does happen from time to time that there are issues with accessories not being complete. This happens because they don't necessarily start out complete so the process is a bit trickier. That isn't an excuse for the inconvenience you experienced, just an explanation. I appreciate your fair and honest assessment of the situation and will circulate your feedback to my team.

@kevskoolkars: Ah, I understand the confusion. When you clicked through earlier you linked to the landing page that had old language on it from an HDTV that we promoted in the past (@azscott pointed to the error above.) That item was refurbished and so the language read that way. Sorry for the misplaced schoolmarm tone then.

Had enough bad experiences with Apple products in the past where I wouldn't touch a new one, let alone "lightly used".
Namely: my iPod broke, and I sent it back to get a refurbished one from Apple. This refurbished one literally sat on my desk for the whole summer, never took it anywhere, never dropped it, and it broke. Then Apple wanted $100 to replace it. They lost me as a customer forever with that.

@oguzdere: I agree! My 130gb iPod hard drive crashed back in February. We went to the Apple store to see if they fix it, instead they told me I could get a refurb with a 90 day warranty for $180. Putting in some extra dollars, you can get a brand new one for $250, with a one year warranty.
