8 ft. Landscape Timbers at The Home Depot In-Store for $0.97
One of HD's memorial day sale items is Landscaping Timbers for 98 cent a piece. I use these for all kinds of projects and like to get a bunch for cheap when I can.
Enter you zip here for info on all the Memorial Day Sales at your local HD.
Damn it! My local ad says $1.97 per board!
@acex008: Honestly still not a bad price since they are usually $3 and up.
$1.97 in my zip code.
YES!! 97 cents at my zip code!! But I wonder if we can use this to redo our back deck... thoughts anyone??
I wouldn't build deck with them. A rail fence, yes, but not a deck.
Local ad not available here (1 mile from HD Headquarters) - at least online. Hard to know what the price would be.
$1.97 in my area as well.
.97 in south metro atlanta- Looks like a busy weekend for me. Great Thanks
$1.47 in Tucson.
Not available in central CA! :(
.97 in the Columbia SC area.
Woohoo! $0.97 here near Lansing, MI!! Perfect to put in raised garden beds this weekend! Sweet deal!!
97 cents here in Bitchmond VA too
I like using these cheep boards to put firewood on to season over the summer, that way the wood is on the ground and when that section of firewood is done I can burn these boards as well...
Good luck finding a strait one!
Not available in the Albuquerque, NM area. I was looking forward to doing some more landscaping this weekend.
97 cents in the Orlando area! Reg. $3.57. Wish I had a way to get them home. ;-)
I don't care how cheap Home Depot sells their products for. Me and my family will not step foot in one of their stores.
@dillonbarnes: When it comes to landscaping timber the straightness of the boards doesn't bother me as much;
With all of my other projects I can spend an hour or so finding suitable boards, but usually end up being disappointed :/
I was hoping for free shipping but I see its in store only... For shame providing us with a non internet deal
@dillonbarnes: "Good luck finding a strait one!" That's what she said !
They also have the cherrytone ones on sale too.
@skildude: Can't tell if being sarcastic or truly upset. In-store is right there in the title :)
@skildude: Free shipping on an 8ft piece of lumber for .97c? If you're not being sarcastic then your sense of reality and/or common sense is lacking.
$0.97 in Atlanta area. Good for erosion control on a slope. Might get some to cobble together a half-scale trebuchet on the cheap....sufficiently primitive-looking compared to normal planed lumber.
Crap, I just got out of redoing the garden because of the cost. Thank's woot.
$0.97 in Baton Rouge! I might have to get back to square-foot gardening. I see fresh tomatoes in my future!
We picked some up this morning. Just make sure you look down the sides of each one, we found a bunch that were curved/warped.
@cogerd: Pressure treated wood isn't good if you're growing veggies or edibles in your garden. If you're doing flowers, go at it, if you're doing edibles, splurge on cedar so that you're not ingesting chemicals.
$1.97 in southern NH, regular 4.97 per the ad. Tried Hartford, CT and Mansfield, MA. Looks like New England gets the "shaft" on pricing :)
Really though, if they are dropping from 4.97 to 1.97 thats a good deal.
Lowes lists it at 4.97 and my guess would be they would match. ymmv of course.
My local store in Rockford, IL has them for $0.97. Now, I need to figure out what I want to build this weekend.
Am I the only person trying to get rid of these from their yard?
$1.47 Vegas...still a good deal!
Shame, looks like these are not sold at all in Portland, OR.
I already had 3 awesome projects that would never happen while a pile of boards warped and gathered bugs in the corner of my back yard floating in my head.
@oregonisaac: Are you sure about that? They show up with the 97006 (Beaverton) zip code. Not much help if you are on the east side, but it's not too far otherwise.
Not available in the East Riverside area...frown
$0.97 in jacksonville, fl! thanks for the post!
.97 here in Southern Texas. In for around 10.
These are pretty crappy quality - warped, untreated, uneven sizes. The cherry tone ones are even worse - with a water based stain that fades and runs quickly. Best use is for staging a yard for a home on sale - since you don't really care about how long it lasts. Nestle the bad side up against a bed full of wood chips and nobody will notice.
Los Angeles Cherry tone for $1.47
$.97 in NW PA.
@narquespamley: They're all treated yellow pine, which doesn't weather well and warps like a(insert the OTHER political party) if not properly fastened down- sometimes. The non-warpers are creosote treated, but you REALLY don't want those.
People can't seem to make up their mind, treated, untreated... what are they? I'm not a lumber expert. The website says "treated to refusal" but I have no idea what that means.
I guess whatever that means, these are no good for a vegetable garden.
Tried to price match this at Lowe's, which would have made them 87 cents after their price match policy. Manager said that they don't price match on lumber. I think us trying to buy 1000 of them made him not want to do it. Went to HD instead and bought the 200 they had left.
@wolfcheater: If you check the ad, they are selling 2x4 8 foot redwood for 98 cents each. That would be suitable for decking.
@chezteladog: +1 for correct usage of your/you're, -1 for not knowing that @skildude is messing with us. It's a wash.
Bought 30 of them @ $.97 in eastern Maryland. Wasn't planning on doing any landscaping this weekend but at this price you can't beat it.
Ah! Sold out last night at both home depots near me! They said they each went through 1000 by 3:00pm thurday. Ouch. Going to try again monday when next shipment is supposed to come in.
.97 at Port Huron, MI store
The store I went to said there was a 50 item limit (not indicated at ALL on the web page). They said they would sell another 50 to my wife if she were there. Well I needed 100 so I had to have my wife drive down so I could have the quantity I needed. I was pretty disappointed in the way this was handled. If I show him the ad and nothing shows a limit why shouldn't I be able to buy 100. Why make my wife drive 30 minutes to stand in the door so they can ring up the other 50? Goofy.
@damselectric: that's because the state of CA says living causes cancer!
