I like that these auto light controls are just placed in the light socket. No pesky setting of on-off timers. Then the power goes off & you have to reset them. These are simple - screw it in the light/lamp socket, put a bulb in & forget it. They come on at dusk & turn off in first light. Simple. One thing I don't know - will they work w/the curly bulbs? Think I'll try; if not I'll just use my old incandescents.

From experience these typically don't work very well with CFL bulbs. They always made mine flicker and sometimes go on and off.
