Slighly Outdated Sugru Moldable Rubber for $5
Normally $16.
This sugru is past its "Sell By" date but still has 4 - 6 months before it expires. It is still perfectly good and you get a great deal!
Sugru is a hand-moldable rubber that allows you to fix, hack, and modify nearly anything. It's absolutely amazing and completely addicting!
Hack things better. That's the sugru motto. It's why sugru exists. It's not about "making-do," it's about taking control of our stuff. Modifying and improving the products we own so that they work better for us. It's economical and sustainable, but most of all, it just makes sense!
It bonds to most materials and turns into a strong, flexible silicone rubber overnight. Use it to hack and mod your gadgets, shoes, ski poles, almost anything! This stuff is absolutely amazing and completely addictive. You'll find a thousand uses for it!
Awesome stuff to customize & mod your toys & tools etc.
Guys, you really should not buy outdated rubbers. That's just not safe.
The More You Know
ridiculous shipping charges.
Don't buy. That stuff is pretty much unusable shortly after the "use by" date. Just threw out several packages recently.
@joebobster: The OP said that it is past it's "Sell by" date, not the the "Use by" date.
The website seems to confirm this.
Although Makershed doesn't have the greatest shipping prices they will definitely work with you if there's a problem. I've had a couple orders get denied by their fraud prevention software and they ended up shipping one of my orders free of charge for all the hassle. Free free. The whole order.
Yeah, hey, $7 shipping for a $5 product is pretty reasonable.
:)
@izzyizzo: Well, their normal price is $18 + shipping.
For me, with tax and shipping, it comes down to this: $13 for slightly outdated vs. $21 for new. Double the quantity and it's: $22 for slightly outdated vs. $39 for new. Get crazy and make it an order of 50 and we're looking at: $270 for slightly outdated vs. $900 for new.
Pro Tip: If you're going to buy a bunch from Maker Shed it's cheaper to buy 10 than 8 due to discounted shipping (I assume for hitting $50.)
10 miles away from In-Store-Pick-up. Score!

I don't know how how well it would work, but might be worth a try.
I was dumb and fell for this. I bought 4 which cost me 32.00 with shipping and tax. Amazon has the 8 pack for $30 with free shipping and they aren't stale
@tute: I believe the deal is 8 packs for ~$13 shipped, no?
Dang! It's gone.. I was going to buy it last night but fell asleep apparently..
If anybody feels like selling me a pack of this, I'd be happy to take it off of your hands :) - never tried it before.
@tute: Hey! Win-win!: I'll buy one of 'em from you if it'll help ease your pain :) - seriously though, if you want to sell me a pack or two I'll buy 'em off ya.
(Never used the stuff so I'm kind of curious how it works)
