This is why I always keep songs in my mp3 wish list. I should start supporting them more with acutal money purchase though. They really do have a great business model. DRM free music on a per song selection for cheap.

@peale: You have to wait for amazon local to finish the order (meaning leave the "pending" state). Then you'll be given a code from amazon local to paste into the "redeem promotional credits" box on the MP3 site. After that it will be instantaneously added to your account.

How long does it take for the credit to appear in your account? I was charged $.99 to download a song, and when I looked, it said that the local.amazon.com thing was "pending".

I love Amazon and their promo credits. The other day I got the $1 credit from downloading an app. I used it on the Of Monsters And Men album for 1.99. The next day that album was on sale for 0.99, and Amazon gave me another $1 credit to make up for the price drop.

I used my free money to buy the Rock of Ages Soundtrack. I have to admit I wasn't sure if I wanted to even see this movie having grown up in the 80's I was worried it would suck and the music would suck more, but to be honest the soundtrack turned me around.

If this soundtrack really is real actor voices then I'm impressed with some of them for sure. Thank OP for the link, I now have a decent album for free and a movie to add to my watch list this summer.

2 downsides to this:

1) they require a credit card for the purchase (not a big deal)

2) will be be "subscribed" to your nearest Amazon Local, so you will need to unsubscribe from Amazon Local.

Not major issues, but just things to be aware of.
