Anyone had experience with this company?

I gave Pacific Geek the benefit of the doubt when I ordered something from them. Multiple broken promises to ship and a refund request (which they didn't respond to) later, I finally got the refurb I ordered back on 7/22 on 9/1. Oh, and it was missing the Windows XP recovery disc it was supposed to come with. I called them, they claimed they would "drop one in the mail" for me. I told my husband to expect it in no less than a month. Seriously, their customer service leaves A LOT to be desired.

I've ordered from them a couple of times. They will generally deliver what is promised. Just don't ever order anything you have an immediate need for as it may be a month or two before you actually receive it.

HOW MUCH RAM?! Am I the only one who cares?

@krumlov: So...did you even bother to check the site link?

@gkcmilner: I agree. Pacific Geeks port replicator price ($99) seems a bit outrageous, too.

The screen was a little yellow, but very sharp. plenty of speed for most users. Wheat killed it for me was the terrible track pad. It's got a nub too though. Sent it back to buy.com with no problems

Haha. Cute. I'll stick with my dual 3ghz core and 8 gb of RAM. DO WORK SON!

In regards to the laptop itself, these are excellent machines. I bought 18 of the D620s a while back for resell and haven't had a single one come back. Got one for my mother too, she loves it. Good reliable laptops.

I was looking for a replacement laptop for my wife, and this seemed to be a good deal at the right price until I saw the specs. Heck, this close to November I'll probably just wait for a Black Friday deal.

it wont win any speed races but these things are pretty tough. we used them as work computers for years before they stopped making them and they were reliable as hell. just dont expect to do much more than surf the web and update your resume with these specs

These were the corporate standard laptops for a year or two at the company I work at. Pretty solid machines. Also the $99 for a port replicator was the standard price of them, and may be considered a bargain as they were discontinued and can no longer be ordered from Dell.

@gkcmilner: Thanks, that is a much better deal.

I ordered from them, item came damaged and I had to pay to ship back. Decided not to replace item and I was not refunded full price. Very unhappy. Multiple emails unanswered by them.
