Meh. Hot peppers. Not so hot deal.
anybody ever buy from this place? last two places i bought bhut jolokias from were no hotter then even 2nd grade habraneros.
Be careful, at the end of completing your order a pop up box appears. It looks as if by clicking "OK" you are confirming your order, but what that actually does is add another 2 plants and 2 shipping charges to your order ($20). It does this instantly, your card is charged, and you have no opportunity to review your cart beforehand. I have emailed customer support to fix this issue, I will let wooters know how this is handled on their end.

go here to get the peppers instead. Cheaper! You can get 3 cans here for less than you'll pay at that site above. I ordered a few several weeks ago and I already have sprouts coming up.
The ghost chili is no longer the hottest pepper. The Naga Viper is as of February, 2011. Just sayin
I don't see why you guys just don't get seeds on ebay like I did. All my plants succeeded last year and now I have a fresh batch of seeds just from one pepper.
The only real deal about this is that it looks like it's an actual plant, and they're buy one get one free for $10 (plus shipping). I'd still be happy with seeds from ebay, they haven't failed me yet, and that was $5. So if you're impatient and you want a mature plant quicker, get this deal, and you'll have two ready for springtime.
What's great about peppers is they're self-pollenating, and really easy to clone, 9 out of 10 cuttings form roots for me, all I do is keep them in water and wait a few weeks.
FALSE ADVERTISING, the ghost pepper (bhut jalokia) is no longer the hottest pepper in the world, that title has been claimed by the Naga Viper.
P.S. The site selling these seems pretty shady, buyers beware, just get your seeds on ebay.
This is a terrible deal. Last summer I picked up bhut jolokia plants at my local nursery for $2 per plant in the spring and $1 per during mid summer.
I dont think these are actual plants...I think they're a seed in a can of soil...def just buy seed elsewhere.
Jolokia is easy to come by now. Every garden center has plants, every farmers market will have fresh ones and dried whole and powdered jolokia is everywhere. I sell small test tubes of the powder and whole dried ones at my local farmers market for a mere dollar.
Any site that automatically blasts a flash movie at me at super loud volume when I go to the page doesn't get a single dime of my cash.
My dog ate one of these off the kitchen coutner and my $3 pepper from the farmer's market turned into a $3000 vet bill...
Chuck Norris once ate 13 of these at one time, saving the world from a fiery death.
Actually, as of this month, Naga Viper's not the hottest (and it's also an engineered strain, not a natural one).
New hottest is the Trinidad Scorpion.
Seeds 20 pack for $7 shipped on ebay.
@chris9450: How does a pepper get hotter, like some kind of budybuilding contest
@choppercharles: Flashblock! Use it. Love it. Live it!
@dlstew10: Careful- the woot gods are watching. You'll be accused of "post hijacking" and your link will be removed and replaced with a mysterious "Wedit." Then people will know that you can buy it cheaper somewhere else, but not know where. They'll say that you are encouraged to post your own deal, but of course you won't see that your post has been censored, so you won't do it. Then, when people complain about the above process, their posts will be deleted, over and over again. Oh. wait. They only do that on the deals posted by woot staff members... I guess they don't care if regular people's deals are "hijacked!"
Nevermind. It's my problem, I'll deal with it...
I had some of these on a pizza before. Worst decision ever...
Acutally, the Trinidad Scorpion is not the Hottest Pepper....
That award goes to Gwyneth Paltrow for her portrayal of Pepper Potts in Iron Man 2.
Sorry just couldn't resist.
Lot of people selling seed as Jolokia that are not. Might be intentional. or just contamination/cross pollinating. I'd buy from the New Mexico Chile Pepper Institute http://www.chilepepperinstitute.org/cart/product/bhut_jolokia/
can buy bhuts dried at places like Henry's for under $5
I'm a fan of hot foods, but I have to draw the line somewhere. I'm not going to eat something that is going to cause my rectum to bleed profusely the morning after eating it.
