Great deal! But I wish Dan Dan Noodles were an option :(
Americanized Chinese food.
No Chinese restaurant run by real Chinese persons asks if you are familiar with their sauces?!
The sauces are added to the dish as it is prepared usually in a wok.
OK for a chain restaurant. But authentic Chinese American food?
No way.
Over priced and middle of the road.
@gwpriester: They call themselves fusion, they do not claim to be authentic chinese anyways
I like their food just fine, whatever the category is, but IMHO the real reason to go on a Valentine's date is the nice atmosphere. Cozy, quiet, intimate. At least the one near me, can't say they're all the same.
This isn't really a deal, they have this all the time. It's on their normal menu: http://www.pfchangs.com/menu/?sid=9984 (click the menu for 2)
But good stuff, in general. The food there is a tad pricey, but very good.
@liquidblue1: Yeah I have to agree... even if it's pricey you won't find a nicer place to enjoy a good quiet meal. Even compared to other expensive places I've ate at this was the cozy and quietest.
mmmmm lettuce wraps....
@sybrwookie: That is actually an advantage! Valentine's day is one of the worst nights to go out to dinner. (see also: Mother's Day, New Year's Eve)
That is, unless you really want to be in a crowded, noisy restaurant, waiting a couple hours past your reservation to be seated along with several other impatient couples, and served by a harried waitstaff food prepared by overworked chefs.
Now if you're going in hopes of seeing comedy gold in the form of some truly awkward marriage proposals, then it might be worth the price of admission.
@gwpriester: wtf is authentic American Chinese food? its either Chinese or not.
for a fusion place this place is great. i worked at one in orange county for 2 years. if it was so terrible, i wouldnt have been making $200 a night in tips simply from volume.....just sayin.
@ciabelle: I could not agree with you more. Do yourselves a favour, go the night before, or after....I went once on V-Day. What a mistake..the menu was limited and it was crowded. Spend the evening at home, being cozy and romantic :D
