FreeAgent drives are pretty good. This price is very good, but as always, check Newegg or other sites for reviews and pricing.
Price is now 139.99 same as Newegg
I stopped buying Seagate drives a few years ago when their customer service went to hell. I had to return a defective drive and they made me jump through all kinds of absurd packing hoops to ship it, telling me that if I did not pack it exactly the way they wanted me to, they would not honor the warranty when it arrived.
The kicker is that ultimately the retail packaging did not meet their requirements. I bought the drive at Circuit City in a retail box but I couldn't use that box to send the drive back to Seagate.
I had to plead with them over the phone to send me some of their magic packing material since I couldn't get it anywhere near where I live - even Kinko's doesn't sell it - and wait for that to arrive to send the drive back to them in.
Got this from Costco for $115. Not a big Seagate fan but since this is just a backup drive i'm not worried about it....infrequent use and all.
