Which version of Windows 8, I wonder? Considering that Windows 8 Pro is now $200, that'd be a $99 laptop. I can't imagine it's Pro...

Buying a used laptop from 1saleaday is like going to a 1 day pickpocket convention. Kiss your money goodbye and get nothing in return. Nothing but horror with 1saleaday and have emails to prove it. BTW with their 30 days to ship your 90 day warranty is 1/3 gone even if you can convince the REFURB company to do something after paying to ship it, insure it, package it, etc. 1saleaday doesn't tell you but the warranty is with the refurb company, not ASUS and you have to blindly send it out with no contact number to follow the trail.

thanks for the warning woody1

I've never had a problem with anything I've ordered from 1saleaday. Shipping can be a bit slow but many times the items are coming from overseas so that is to be expected and they tell you beforehand.

@freeplaypsp: OEMs don't pay retail price for the operating system. Duh!

I have never had a problem with anything I've bought from them. And the shipping is always pretty quick.

I have had good luck with 1saleaday, also. Any problems have been fixed and I expect slow shipping.

@woody1: Thx for your info Woody. I ordered/paid for one of these Refurbs on Feb 24th. 13 days ago, w/their ad stating/promising shipping in 7-10 days. So far, it has not shipped and 1saleaday has not answered my email inquiries other than their "auto responses" that say they will respond within another 1-3 business days. Your posting indicates that they have 30 days to ship items, which I have not found in their Terms of Service. I have never had any problem getting things from them, nor Woot, in the past, and am SO P-O'd that they have not fulfilled orders for Feb 24, and have the same d@^# item for sale again today.... Personally, I "prefer" refurbed electronics; for I find that the glitches that were in them when originally sold as new, have been fixed in the refurbing process; thus, I have had good luck up to now with receiving 100% "better than new" products at discounted prices when purchasing refurbs. Hope that holds true IF I ever receive the laptop. Krystal Bella

In my dealing with 1SAD, the shipping time in days is business days. Seven to ten days is almost three weeks, in business days. And they will push it off to the very last minute. You will get it, just don't plan on it for a last minute birthday present.

I've ordered from 1SAD a lot and never had a problem. Shipping is slow, but then its slow from most deal a day sites.

My question is about the product though, if you guys don't mind me changing the comments from slagging the seller to the actual product..... Is this an atom processor, and therefore a NETBOOK, not a LAPTOP?

@subrec: From the Asus website "Intel® Core™ i3 or Pentium™ processors"

Here is the info...http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/X401A/

1Sale specs say "Gen Intel Dual-Core B980 2.4GHz Processor"

@gusvonpooch: I looked it up on Intel's site. It's a Pentium processor. Not great, but okay for a budget PC.
