Just finished this for PC. It plays a lot like the first one with some non-combat tweaks (hacking is less involved, more challenging, and more rewarding). If you like the first, this is basically more of the same. I'd say worth the $10.
This game is worth about $10.
Game companies realized that fans will buy whatever bull they put out. A great example was Halo ODST. They even said it started out as DLC but they made it into a full fledged game. What they said first was true; it was basically an add-on with only a couple new features. They charged full price. And it worked. They banked a load of cash for a game that took maybe less than a year. It is a brilliant business strategy especially if you have a franchise that prints money.
2k followed suit with BioShock 2. This game did not feel like a sequel. But it sold like crazy because of the marketing push and the chance to see Rapture again.
The underlying mechanics for Bioshock are very solid but they didn't change much for 2. They streamlined a lot of meta stuff (hacking, for example) but there wasn't any huge changes. They played it safe and expanded the universe with a very generic story. Meh.
Just a couple of days ago I bought a good condition used copy of this for $8.99+tax at Gamestop, but it's not much of a difference in price and yeah, it's for a used copy. Loved the game, though.
@evila4: Haha, good lord dude, calm down. They are just video games. I enjoyed ODST and I enjoyed Bioshock 2 as well. Absolutely worth 10 bucks if you enjoyed the first one.
