Red Robin Free Birthday Burger
Sign up with email and get a free Birthday Burger! Red Robin....yummmmmmmmmmmmm
Wait, in the past, you could just go in and show them your ID and get your free burger. Now you have to work for it too!? PShhhhfftttt... now it's only an awesome deal and not a fabtaculistic deal :)
That didn't work.
They didn't ask for any info like email to notify me.
This is my daughter's fave restaurant, otherwise I wouldn't care.
my mistake on the email, looks like they mail you the coupon. Still, it's a free burger
but then they'll sing to you...
@djrussell: Pay with money or with humiliation. Either way, you gotta pay.
@djrussell: Nah, you can tell them not to sing and they'll honor your wishes. We've got our whole family signed up and have scored several free birthday burgers from them.
The site won't let me create an account until I go to a restaurant, get a card, bring it home, and then type in the number.
Still one of the Best(chain restaurant) burgers around.
looks like i will be occupying red robin on my birthday
Too bad their burgers are horrible.
I just went to the site and it asked for authentication (id & pswrd). then i couldn't select the location at all. It said 'Method error - 401' in the drop down, or some similar text.
I really wanted a free burger too. :(
@robertmcclure: All I did to get around the authentication was to click "cancel" on the username/password being requested.
It then gave the error when selecting location...all I ended up doing was clicking on the "join" at the top and then put the info in again...this time, NO ERRORS! :)
Yay for free burgers!
However!!! It does look like you have to go into the store and get a card first...after "applying" I get the following:
"Welcome to Red RoyaltyTM - a program full of surprises and rewards just for you. Visit a participating Red Robin® restaurant, pick up a Red Royalty Card and register it to begin reaping the benefits of Royalty."
I will pass! horrible burgers!
also, next time you're at RR, look under the table tents. they usually have clever little things written there where no one looks. :D
You have to pick up a "Red Royalty" card from one of the PARTICIPATING restaurants and register that card prior to being able to get your free burger in the month of your birthday.
If you are waiting to be seated, they usually have the cards available in the waiting area, and you can smart phone your way through the registration process while you wait. They may still be offering a free appetizer if you visit Red Robin and use your card within 2 weeks of the initial registration, so I was able to register while we waited, and have our appetizer discounted by the time we were done eating. If you don't register the card immediately, you might want to wait until you plan to visit RR again if this free appetizer promo is still running (so you remain within the two week window for that offer).
In addition to your free birthday burger, you also get a B9G1 deal that accumulates each time you use the card for each burger on your check. Not much, but it is nice to have a free burger every once in a while. They also periodically offer discounts that you will be alerted to via email such as 20% off your next bill if you visit in the next 2 weeks kind of deals.
For those who mentioned the humiliation of receiving the free birthday burger, you don't need to alert your server that your burger is free. Simply hand them your Red Royalty card with your method of payment when you pay your check, and when they swipe it, your bill is automatically reduced. I'm not sure they can even tell whether your free burger was the result of a birthday burger, of if one of the burgers on the check represented the 10th (free) burger.
The one hang-up I have run into was to inadvertantly visit a NON-participating Red Robin on my birthday when I was traveling, and was handed a colorful card explaining that THIS restaurant did not yet participate in the rewards program, and if I wanted a free birthday burger, I would need to scan and email my receipt to guest relations. I have yet to hear back from them after a little over a month.
For those that think these burgers are terrible, what chain restaurant would you recommend if any?
A dup is a dup right? http://deals.woot.com/deals/details/02f66458-4195-4d7f-bdb0-fdff9ea764b8/free-red-robin-burger-on-your-birthday#0
No disrespect.
I received extremely rude treatment from a server when I tried to get this deal. It seems some locations are hit or miss. Some are really good, and others are amateur hour. With Red Robin, you're best off going to the locations that you're comfortable with. Some of them can be ridiculous.
Are you serious?! My birthday was last week, you couldn't have told me this 2 weeks ago? hahaha.
Only works with reward card.. been a member of there email club for years and they sent me an email saying i needed to get the reward card for my free burger this year because they no longer send out the free burger email. I got this in Oct. my birthday was the beginning of this past week. Had no time to get my card at the shop. Got another email the last week of Oct saying I could send for one online and they will send me the card within 5 -7 days. I did this and still haven't got the card...the funny thing is my wife(who's birthday is 5 days after mine) got her free birthday burger via email...Go figure.
I have never been to Red Robin. A new one is opening up near me on Dec.5, so I will check it out. Thanks for the info.
Now if we can get FIVE GUYS to do this we will be in bizniz... lol. 5 Guys isn't fancy just good
Get a free burger every time. Oh I left my wallet in my car be right back.... no just kidding would never ever do that. Usually the big million dollar burger joint make the servers pay for walk outs. That sucks
@whitlock929: Red Robin is VERY good. And they keep the fries coming! You never run out of them.
@mtrlgrl: 5 Guys is also VERY good. The nearest one from my home was about 20 minutes away and in another state. Recently a 5 Guys opened within a mile of me and I went there today. They are attached to a Popeye's in the standalone outer part of the mall. Enough said: The lure of Popeye's was too great and I just had to go. For me they are closest thing to real homemade Southern Fried Chicken you can find here up north. Next week I'll try 5 Guys, maybe.

Sa-weet! My birthday is 3 weeks away & I've been craving their turkey burger with garlic fries. Mmmmm
