So: not very fast for USB 3.0, but probably as fast as your USB 2.0 connection can handle - which do you have?
NewEgg gives it 3/5 stars, with many complaints about weak housing breaking down quickly.

Amazon is kinder, but similar. 4/5.

USB 3.0 compliant for fast read/write performance
Up to 60MB/s read
Up to 25MB/s write
These are the specs listed by Amazon for the exact same product. $26 without a rebate. They are still respectable speeds compared with some of my older USB 2 budget external hard drives. But again, just like the 140 MB/s, these are "up to" speeds.
All of my storage devices can read and write at speeds up to 10 GB/s – they just have much lower typical speeds.
YMMV, but I know that Wal-Mart had some SanDisk 16GB drives on clearance for $7 a couple weeks back. Just thought I'd toss that out there in the instance that any of you happen to swing by there...check it out. ;)
@kidkobun: USB 2 or 3?
