The candelabra's are all sold out. PAR30s are still expensive but getting a couple for rooms that we turn on / off prematurely killing CFLs.

@wootjjk: I've yet to find a cfl that comes near it's rated time and it's getting on my nerves. With the amount of money I've spent on cfl's that die early I have no net savings from the electricity and could probably have bought a lifetime supply of incandescent bulbs. I might try some LED's if I can find a suitable color temp.

@riothero: CFLs only work for their lifetime if you leave them on for long periods of time. The quick on / off cycles where they do not get proper warm up significantly reduces their lifetime. Another thing to add is there are some really cheap CFL out there. The cheaper the bulb the less likely they will last as well.
