Don't bother. I got these off 13 deals and they went straight into the trash. Dollar Store items have higher quality. The wire holding these is equivalent to coat hangers... they don't fold or tuck away. A complete waste. The Plaid ear warmers are the same... useless.

@skaarup:
Thanks for the heads-up. I was thinking of getting some but I'll pass now.

I also got a pair of these last year and was recently wearing a pair while working on assembling a wooden playset for my kids (for Christmas). While they are not top quality, and I was worried about them staying on, I forgot I had them on after a few minutes and kept my ears warm. However, it wasn't extremely cold either. For a couple bucks, I'm happy to have something I can wear and not worry about getting them nasty.

Try Ear Pops - they pack flat in their own case, fit in purse or pocket, and stay on your ears.

@donslin and @skaarup: I got these last year and love them. I am surprised to hear that you didn't like them, especially for the price. Of course, we don't have a lot of cold weather where I live so I don't need heavy duty ear Warner's, but I took them on a ski trip to Lake Tahoe and they were great!

see? with conflicting reports...should I buy or not buy?! I was thinking for my daughter as she likes to use this style because they don't mess up her hair. she could keep a pair in her backpack and have them handy for when she has to catch the bus...but maybe not so much if they don't fold flat...?

I can't comment on these, but Woot often has 180's brand this time of year for less than $5 a piece, I'd personally hold out for those if you're in the market for ear warmers, and you haven't been able to find anything cheap locally to get you by. Just my two cents though, I'm sure these are fine for some people.
